I remember that guy... he is such a moron its not even funny. He was rude, inhospitable and full of bad attitude. I wish he had some knowledge or skills to follow up those traits, but sadly thats all he's got. I tell you I wouldn't mind opening shop in Chd just to spite him. Its indeed unfortunate that he's all you got. Sad.

who made this box? what are the T/S specs on this woofer? Of the top of my head neither the box or port dimensions look right.

This is the common enclosure and are premade for every type of 12" SUB available on the market lol.. You will find this is almost every car, until and unless they have gone with installer instructions and have opted for a bigger box for a sedan like octavia having the same sub

Manik, the size of every woofer box, is determined by the specification of the woofer being used. Not by the car it is used in.

partly correct.

the size of the box is determined by the T/S of the woofer AND the TRANSFER FUCTION of the car it is used in. Unfortunately this degree of care is not taken.

Some cars tend to have a hump in the 70Hz region. I actually find this helps compensate for road noise.

For example one of the few things Bose Crop did well was to map the different TRANSFER FUNCTIONS for cars (this was in 1980 when they tied up with GM and Delco to build custom car audio systems). I had a catalog of these at that time. Threw it out when I moved to India.
