Pardon me if I sound like an Ignoramus; I am in some cases. Is the 75.4 a 5-channel amplifier? If not, doesn't the bass tube need an amp as well? So, are the co-axials not amped? This is just FMI.

Vikram 75.4 is a four channel amplifier
Amp is powering my front components(JBL 607) and subwoofer in bridged mode(2 channels used). rear speakers are connected to head unit directly. my head unit has three pre outs. I can control the subwoofer level direcly from the headunit as I am using the preout for subwoofer.

vkhandelwal : techincally incorrect and you'll be losing your fader controls, power your rear 937s also (in parallel) with your front comps and you'll be rocking.

how would I lose my fade control. the rear speaker are still connected to rear channel and compos are in front channel. I can still use fader control to shift the soundstage.. are you suggesting connecting both rear 937 and 607 to front channel. or adding another amp to power rear speakers?

Why is it technically incorrect? I think it's perfect what vkhandelwal is doing.

yes sir, I'm suggesting to connect both the 937 and 607 to same (front channel), your HU is NOT powerful enough to extract even 10% juice.

EDIT: SAM, I know what he is doing is PERFECT. As told above, am suggesting using both the pairs off front channels of the amp, it would be technically incorrect, cauz it'll be posing lower impedance to the amp.

and how would this help with fader option. what if I want more sound in front than rear or vice versa. I understand that head unit was not powerful enough that's why I invested my hard earned money in purchasing the amplifier . anyways. in future I plan to add another 2 channel amplifier and power component with that amplifer and rear with 75.4. till then if SAM says that the setup is okay I'm fine with present setup as the sound is just amazing.. waiting for input from others though

Sam, panky is trying to say that his way is technically incorrect, not vkhandelwal's. lol

Panky Bhai, it wont be technically incorrect because of lower impedance posed to the amp. The amp will comfortably handle the impedance. problem will be that the 6x9s will be louder than the comps and he wont be able to control that since there wont be a fader as you correctly pointed out.

Why not just add a monoblock for the sub and let the 75.4 manage the front and rear? A good 2 ch. amp is not much cheaper than a decent monoblock (think Pio D510 or JBLCS 300.1).

I agree. A 75.4 driving 4 speakers and a good mono driving the woofers is an excellent combo.

Once an ICEr, always an ICEr!
Your current setup is great, Mr VKha....! Congrats.

You can opt for an upgrade by getting a monoblock amp and adding it for powering the sub(s). Don't get a 2channel amp unless it is a good powerful one (100+W RMS X2).
Till then, enjoy the current setup to max.
