Oho No Sirji. We mean the PROFILE series of amps from GENESIS UK.

Yes, if he can get a powerful 2-ch amp. The really good 2-ch amps are 28K plus. Better to get a 20K ish 4-ch and get about the same (or more power) by bridging the 4-ch to 2-ch. More flexibility for later too.

All three amps are small footprint amps, so installation isn't much of an issue. All three are clean sounding amps that put out the rated power. Having used all three, I can stack em like this:

1. Genesis Profile
2. Audison SRx
3. Alpine 345

The Genesis puts out more power than rated, as its typical Genny tradition to under rate specs. The Genny also have a bit more "grunt" and "air" giving it a clear edge over the other two. Next the Audison is again a very nice amp, having an advantage over the Genny in terms of having a built in high level interface, so you dont need a Line Output converter, which is good if you are using a stock OE HU. The Alpine comes last in this competition as its a bit out of place here. No doubt a clean amp that will see other competition (like Kenwood, JBL etc) home, its out of its league here.

Of course this is purely my opinion based on my experience with these amps, other may have different opinions and experience.

Hope this helps... Cheers!

I agree! Replace the Alpine in your list with this for a fair comparison. Also I think it must be mentioned here that Genesis doesn't have an entry level line-up. The Profile range is in fact their LRx category and the Series III is their VRx category, to compare with Audison since many here are familiar with that lineup.

He had a chance there, I agree.

But he blows it cos the QMOS Series has recently been pulled out of production since the K Competition Series replaces it at slightly higher price points and betters it with truckloads more in terms os specs, sound and features. There are only some limited edition, black heat-sink QMOS amps being produced now. We havent gotten any of those.

Complete misfit, the Alpine is over here. I have used the Alpine in concern and also the 545 for a very long time with a wide number of quality speakers and it is not even close to what a SQ amp should be. Great for the budget though!

I have heard them. At that time I made up my mind that these are worth saving for. I dont buy stuff friviously if I did my house would be full of audio equipment! :-) for me it has to be something I know I can live with for 10 years.

The Carbons are serious speakers. Atleast I believe they are and in my view good value too.

a 4ch. amp when bridged wont have the damping factor of a 2 ch. amp (all things being equal).

Guys the Alpine amp is about half the price of the Genesis, Audison or Steg amps.
