@arsenik i think there is some confusin in the price which you got for 5090
because pineer 5090 is the official number for the hu which comes with b&w
5050 is which you get in grey market.

5.5k is a good price that you are getting for it.

and there is no difference in both the hu ecept the model numbers

Is it with bill and warranty?
If not , seems ok
Else should be close to 7.5k

None the less
I'll say.

If you are going to drive the car and sit in the front always, its better to get rid of the rear fills and get JBL 608c for the front.
4k without b/w in Delhi. ( good bang for the buck)

Since i am assuming you are on a budget, get a JBL 60.4 ( Heard its a good enough amp to run the speakers)

As for the HU, pioneer is quite good.

My Suggestion :

HU - Alpine -5.5k ( your pricing)
Amp : JBL 75.4 ( if you can find one ) Else another 4 channel amp in the range of 6k
JBL GTO 608c(4k)
Wiring + Install ( 1.5k on the max)
Total 17k!

@abhinav that WAY overshoots my budget dude!! :P i am saving up some cash so i want a system i can slowly build up... ryt now i cnt spend more than 10-11k.!

so should i install JUST components and HU (w/o amp n rear)
OR JUST rear co-axials + AMP
OR JUST rear co-axials + FRONT speakers (NOT COMPONENTS)

???

Hey guys !!

i just installed ICE in my palio 2002 model! I selected the followin

Pioneer HU 6050 -- 9000/-
Pioneer Rear Ovals - 4200/- (460 watts, 5 way) TS A952
Pioneer Front 1100/- TSG 612 Dual Cone
Balupunkt Enclosed Subwoofer & Glider Amp 6500 /-

I actually had a Blaupunkt Amp which was shorted and burnt off due to water .. so i went for some local amp anticipating change soon

What do you guys say about this setup ?? I am using the HU at lowest bass setting and still get enuff bass for songs ! I like the EQ settings in this HU.. I wanted to know How can i remove the head unit flip down while i give the vehicle for service or park it overnight ?? I didnt fiddle wid it becoz half knowledge might become costly for me plz help and suggest any changes to this !!

I have noticed that the player doesnt play a few songs thru USB.. especially ghajini !! what might be wrong with this?

Probably your HU is his (Ghajini's) next target!

Check the file format of the song. Try converting into AAC format and see if it works.

A question - why is that pioneer has 2 similar looking models ex - 3050 & 3090, and 5050 & 5090, they look identical with identical features....

3050, 4050, 5050 are got through gray market channels. There are sold without B&W

3090, 4090, 5090 are official versions. There are sold with B&W.

There are subtle differences between 50 and 90 models.

The XX90 models are India specefic models and hence come with B&W,The XX50 are the south asian grey market imports.
