LBM, they know that there are few absolutes in Car Audio, they have clearly called it a "suggestion". It's not always possible, necessary or apt for that particular install.

From your answer here you are saying that sub will also get some time delay.

I think you are 100 % wrong here. In a front + sub setup the sub will never ever get delay as it is the farthest from the listner. So by giving delay we virtually make it more away. Which I think is wrong.

Here is a screen shot of the alpine site hope you will understand what I am saying.

I10 - ICE Installed - Opinions and Reviews appreciated see page 24-ta-screen.jpg

Here you clearly see that the furthest speaker gets no delay unlike you specify.

A little more.

But that is suggested for the best possible response. And I agree with them 100% And I would any day try to do what they suggest. Also God ji did the same.

Thats your opinion. Doesn't really matter in the larger scheme of things. What Autophile said can be practically tested & proven.

So did you angle your midbass too, like Hertz has suggested?

That is not my opinoin it is of all the world. Ya I have also done the same but it is the incorrect way and the final result is not as compared to the original method

Not in this car, but will definitely do it in my next car.

I think, we should start a new thread and discuss Driver placement, delay, tuning and all the related discussions there.

Mods, if possible, please shift the Off topic content to a new thread.

cheers

LBM, I think we ALL need to be a bit more understanding. I suspect people mix up the TA/Bass Focus/subwoofer alignment as Subwoofer delay when it might be quite the contrary.

Anyway enough of this theory. What most of us want to see is Bhagwan's install pics and this is the reason I have reopened the thread.

B, post away!

Pictures I shall put up tom.

But before I do that; I must say :-

WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED HERE ???

I was gone for a few days and hell broke loose. All because I wanted to put my tweeters above my dash board ????

I could have very easily put the tweeters next to the mid woofer;
But I chose not to. There must be some 'reason' for that - I think.

Well the arguments are good, but let it be constructive & healthy. Lets not get personal....please.

Appreciate the co-operation !!

Regards,

I wont. Unless hell threatens to break loose again.

We'd love to be entertained by your pics though.
