That was a really nice review, Scary! So these are big-time VFM comps, huh?

I saw quite a few of these stacked at Emperor (the car accessories joint I frequent) yesterday. They had the bass-reflex box on display too. It looked and felt very well-built.

I'll ask them if they have installed the 6x9s, the next time I go there. I'd gone there to invite them for my wedding reception, so I was in a bit of a rush and all, and did not have time to talk about ICE-Vice.

Waiting for the Clip-meister's review

OT - how does it compare to Rainbows ? In terms of VFM & sound clarity ? Has anyone had a listen to both the brands ?

Thanks

Thanks Mate. Install hasn't started in my car as yet as my local dealer is still out of Kenwood 8401 stock

Nope, no idea on how much frequency the XO LPF's the midbass.
We HPF'ed it at 80hz, though.

For the life of me, I was so confused during the two days that I had to spend waiting for the speakers, since some pics of some Chinese speaker factory were shown. Gladly, the confusion sorted out after the stuff came in. Indeed, money NOT wasted. Even more glad that others feel the same too.

Bull is a daughter brand of Rainbow audio.
Keeping that in mind, I don't think it's going to be bad in sound. Moreover, it's PRICE is what lures me in to it.

This thingy can sell. But ofcourse, good brand building and support is very much necessary for that too.

that must be the longest speaker review on TBHP. Which speaker did you have before the Bull? Hertz? JBL?

Since I termed these as "cheapo chinese", let me answer this.

Without getting into flame-war or anything of that sort, may I tell you bro that this opinion is PURELY MINE. It appeared another "Volfenhag from Germany" types chinese maal to me, no matter what they claim about the product.

Whatever works good for you, doesn't necessarily mean good for me too!

TO ME, it's a cheapo chinese product and it would continue to be so.

Further, I can assure you that using a good camera and a sub standard product, I can post similar "quality" product pics.

PLEASE dont take it personally. It was all about an honest review and I posted what I perceived.

Ok my part of review.

Some things before starting my review.

1. My car setup as of now stands NIL. I listen music on N70
2. I don’t have a very technical knowledge but yes I am learning new things daily so I am not a NOOB too.

I was at Rajat house and install was done in clips car. Before they started with the BULL install I auditioned clips car as I always wanted to hear his setup and hertz energy lineup. IMHO I don’t find them bright or maybe the setup is tuned in a very good way. Energy were just plain good musical speakers and somewhat that I like to hear. Didn’t get to hear the sub much but yes SUB was pretty loud.

Carrying on with the BULL install. After both the “Kids” (hehe) finished the installed called me to audition it. XO were just lying and were not properly fixed and system was fired and SUB was off or detached. And as Rajat said there is a lot of midbass considering they are 50W RMS, I played different tracks from my test cd containing tracks for generes like Trance, hip-hop, rock. Pop, rnb, pop-rock, jazz, instrumental, electronica, techno. Dance, drums, house and loads more. BULL COMPOS played all the songs in my test CD without any issues.

By that time I didn’t knew the price of the components and after hearing the price I asked Rajat to show me the bill as I just couldn’t believe. The reason for my shock was plain simple. 1-2 weeks ago Manikjeet got JBL GTO 607C for Rs, 4500 without B/W. I can’t comment on XO quality or what was in it. But over all quality of the speakers were pretty good.

I’m so much more comfortable now setting aside 12-14k for my car’s front components. I hope the returns are in accordance with the extra money spent.

I would advise you to listen to the product before passing judgement.
