But my current boxes will go to waste. That is what I am worried about.

Bhagwanji - Swift sold? With or without all those mods? Hope you got a good price! I am keen on your sub enclosure if it is fashioned as a sealed box for a 12 inch sub. I know you dont do this commercially, hence hinting at you to put it up in the "Giveaway Thread" cheers:

OT - Any updates on your RS upgrade? Liking the new Alpine?

I have 3 spare 12" enclosures with me.
2 are specifically made for a SKODA.
I will give these away - you only need to take me out for an idli dosa lunch - just kidddin....
Come to the office & collect what ever you want.

The Swift got sold with new seats + new rims + new tyres + new battery @ 340/- K driven 9 K kms.

The Alpine 9887 is OK. But I do not like it. Big mistake I made. The 7200 was a much much better piece.

yes I also like the tweeter placement... i have also felt that the sound is not as good if they are placed in the doors.

As per LBM there is enough space to mount even bigger tweeters.

Are the tweeter rotating freely at that point, I mean I hope that they dont start facing downward since for a good imaging they need to be face upwards.

@ Bhagwan,
Didnt like the 9887 much eh ? why so ?

As to the enclosure part, i would be interested in getting a custom made done for my Sub if it really makes a difference.
Before that i need to get my damping sorted out first. The rattling is killing me.
Die Maruti ! for such pathetic build quality.

We will sit together & get it made.
As per the driver spec & reasonably good quality. You will only pay for actual material and labour. I am serious !!!

Anytime....
sir i know fully well that you are not commercially into ICE

but your offer of helping me build a box is too kind, please do expect me to call on you about that.

sir the car with new rims and seats driven only 9K sold for 340K ? i believe the buyer got a real good price.

+damping?
Would have bought at that price with all those goodies. And considering the condition, it was a steal.

Anyways, lets not hijack this thread too much!

What goodies ?

I only gave the K & N Typhoon + Exhaust.

The Rims + Tyres I removed [OZ i.e. 75/- K]
That will go into the 'new diesel swift' !!!
The Audio I took out.
The Battery I took out.
The Seats I shall remove on Thursday.

Basically I sold my old petrol Swift - 2006 Jan driven 9.5 K to a dealer @ 347/- K with 'brand new' seats + tyres + rims etc. All the things that I shall remove from my new diesel swift.

The Audio was fully removed. I will re install it in the diesel swift. That audio set up costs 200 K +++ if not less, I cannot just give it away !!!

The tweeters can be moved slightly in all four directions to make them face any particular direction.

It looks like the sub is in a sealed enclosure. Does the GZ amp provide enough juice to drive the sealed sub as well as the front compos?

I always thought that a sealed enclosure would best run off a monoblock.

Yes, the Amp does drive the components and the sub very nicely.

Update : ICE upgraded

Last weekend I ended my(ongoing) quest for ICE by the addition of rear components and a monoblock amp to my current setup.
Here's what I have now:

HU: Pioneer 5050
Front: iLLusion Electra 6.1 components
Rear: iLLusion Electra 6.1 components
4 Channel amp: Ground Zero GZTA 4.120 MK2(driving the components)
Sub: Ground Zero GZ12 MK2
Monoblock Amp: Kicker ZX300.1
Wiring Kits: Ground Zero, Kicker, Stinger, illusion speaker cable.

I must say that the monoblock amp has done wonders to the setup, I get some really tight bass now.
