And i dont always listen trance , being a dj , i can listen anything anytime , depends upon the mood ;D
Well iD starts at around 10-12k i guess. JL i don't know the price but that sub sure had a great Xmax.

If budget is problem you can try out the Infinity Reference 1205 or Kappa Perfect. Even Alpine is good.

And as you are going to Delhi check out the sub in Sanyam's (noidaboy) car. The kick was pretty good and tight.

Sealed enclosure will be perfect for your needs.

Its not Alpine but 2 GZ on sale. If you are looking for a nice sub for Trance, then dont think much and go with IDV3. Its retail at 14K in delhi.
If you are coming to delhi, let me know, i would be there.

That's what i have been telling him. He's a DJ and listens to fast paced music. Nothing can beat ID and JL in that department, unless you plan to shell for Hertz Mille sub

Ankit how about getting just 1 iDv3 in sealed and powering it at 4 ohms with 450 Watts.

What is the max amount you can shell for a Sub ?

I've heard that GZ subs are good for fast paced, loud and bass energetic sound.
My experiences with GZ subs are limited to 3 cars only. And I liked one of them (LBM's car when it was not tuned for making butter chicken) but the ported box made it sound very airy! It can perform good if installed correctly, I think.

If a good musical sub is what required here, then nothing can beat an IDQ.
If a good fast paced and hard hitting sub is required, then JL. Or even some models of RF and MB Quartz will do apart from Kicker.
If a good, decent all round performer is needed, then Kappa perfect.
If a good VFM sub which can do almost everything good is required, then JBL GT4/GT5.

The latest entry into the musical category is Rainbow subwoofers. Yet to listen to one but heard they're just great.
Another good option is Alpine Type R. They still sound good if setup correctly.

OMG zak. You just hacked into my brains firewall, copied the data and posted it here.

I have heard Rainbow Profi subwoofer and to be honest it was gr8. I cannot compare it with IDMax but for a 300W SQ sub it goes very loud and low.

Well after seeing all the suggestions , i am planning to wait for the sub upgrade and stick to my jbl right now .... till i get sufficient funds for a nice sub . Might upgrade it in month or so . Or i will try my best to get the funds when i plan a visit to delhi for my system upgrade in next 20 days .

Now coming back to 4 channel amp

Guys how are GZ amplifiers when compared to jbl 1004e ? Because i see no amplifier fitting my budget of 11k.

And thanks to all 4 replying .... thanks guys ;p

Both the 4 channel amps are good. Decent performers.

JBL scores in popularity, warranty, service etc.. so as an overall better purchase, it is preferred by many.
