Guys I finally settled for following combination

Pioneer 4050UB - Rs. 5600 without B&W
JBL 947 Ovals - Rs. 4500 With B&W
JBL 2 Ch Amp - Rs. 3200 without B&W
Wiring and Labor - Rs. 1400

It took enitre day to fit the system, my old HU sold for 1800rs so the total cost comes out to be 12900rs. Setup sound really great as if there is no need for Subwoofer.

this is an endless desire, perhaps i have already started managing my budget for good monoblock and JBL GTO 1204BR Base bin. However i feel this set up is very basic for those who do not have budget to go for hi-fi subwoofer system, its giving me pleasure which is very close to Subwoofer. Its really good

But let me tell you if throttleking has the similar speakers which i have in my Optra( not magnum, 1.6 2005), they are really good and gets apreciated time and again by my co-travellers. In fact I have been into the same dilemma and wanted to change the HU( its a casseteplayer with rear aux in, blaupunkt) but could not though i tried swapping it with a Sony,Pio,JVC,Kenwood unit. Somehow there is some kind of magic with the stock HU with the stock front speakers.Rear ones are quite ordinary.

If throttleking succeeds, i will stand inspired and will replicate the same, ofcourse, after a trial run.

cheers
I guess you are mistaken here. Even i own the optra and the magnum.

Optra came with a OEM Blaupunkt HU and speakers which are actually quite good. However the OEM system in Magnum is a GMDAT product and is crappy to say the least.

My 2 cents
