Guys, the manual says minimum volume of the sealed box 0.85 cu ft, max volume 1.75 cu ft. And the recommended vol is 1.25 cu ft.
What volume box should i go for achieving tighter bass? Right now the sub is in a ported box and sounds boomy. The kick is missing. Am i expecting too much out of poor pioneer sub?
Inputs anyone?

What's the available power for sub and what's the sub's nominal power rating?

Sub is getting 300 rms at 4ohms. Its a D2 version with both the coils in series.
Nominal power rating of the sub is 400rms.
