Got it. Will replace them soon. Was just passing by Milan Subway the same day when I did this install and found these guys pushing Earthquake and MA audio products. Crap is an understatement for the way they sound. Thought of playing around with them and told a guy I need a replacement for the JBL's and he asked whether I tried MA? I said I never heard of this. He gave me a demo and I said Thank God I did not hear them before. These guys were trying to push on their Watt funda's on me.

Stay away from M.A. and Earthquake.

BTW for those who do not know there is an M.A. Studio in Naaz cinema compound on Lamington Road but these guys are fully into JBL installs. I was skeptical when a guy from Sahil said that I can get an install done from MA :P .

P.S. SAM: The MA guys have a framed picture of an Eyeballer and another pic of a car which I couldn't identify having 4 amps in the boot. Could you please post post pics of the install?

Funny thing is I saw Earthquake cables being sold as the same price as some Monster.

Actually I always thought Earthquake never made cables :)

I have heard their amps but figured thay mgiht be making cables too. Afterall things change and i have never been able to keep track of whose making what at any time.

Can any one help in tuning a Pioneer US bought HU for 91 FM.

US radios are set for odd (91.1, 95.5, etc...) freq. This has been discussed here a few times. Please seach. I know I have addresses this issue in detail atleast twice.

Some history first.

I have been following this thread from October even before I took delivery of my car. After sifting through pages and pages of info I decided on my HU and speakers. Owing to budget constraints I got good coaxials for the front and put off components for later. That was in Dec 05.

In the mean time I never stopped following this thread. On Saturday my desire finally got the better of me. I decided that the time had come to spring for some components.:)

I went to Sound Factor, Lavelle Rd, Bangalore to get JBL components. As a Team BHP member, I was eligible to a sizeable discount due to Sam's largesse. The best bit was, I ran into Sam himself, who was there on some business. It was a real pleasure to meet one of the Gurus of this thread.:Cheering:

The installation did not take much time since the speakers were attached directly to the HU. And after the installation Sam checked out the sound and gave it a thumbs up. Thanks Sam.

The speakers sound great. clap:The sound is a lot clearer and I hear notes that I never heard before. I'm happy with my system for now. I know for a fact that the urge to add a sub will hit me soon.

Just see in its manual if it allows for EU tuner settings or not.
If not,i dont think there is any solution.

Well we met up with sam , had some lovely time the day before .. Talked for over 7 hrs over a couple of beers , some really really really funny videos .. ROTFLMAO , sam still the tune of that song is ringing in my head .. Not to mention that dialogue " And i could literally ####### my #### with the tip of my #### (get ur imaginations to work !! ) .. Haha ... The meet was indeed priceless ..

PS : Too bad he couldnt make it to the long drive with us , would sure have been super fun .. Well next time ur here my car would running on laughing gas , it sure would be funny .. What say navin ?? How about hitting 200+ with sam riding shotgun ??

I need to start reading this thread - I'm sure there is a wealth of information here.. except I'm petrified what it'll do my my already ballooning budget (.. ballooning???... more like DISTENDED!) ...

Need to figure out whether I take leave for a month or so to do it -... or to keep it for my retirement!
