@karthik. have faced a simmilar prob. thought it was earthing problem at the end found out that there was a fault in RC cable and it was changed and everything was back to normal.
Sam ..he has to amp, a 944 and a audibahn mono.
bad wiring and local RCA was used. and at a time, his 6x9 were fed with 250W each frm 944!!!
Right now using JL Audio, Scosche and Stinger cables. Yeah, he did check the RC cables and then the prob was sorted out for sometime. Then again it started after like an hour or so.
Using an Audiobahn A8000T and an Audiobahn 4ch amp.
Yes its due to faulty RC cable. Same use to happen with us eventually changing the cable solved the problem.

Karthik, this problem is there in my Alto too. Whenever I honk, there is this crrrrrrr sound from the speakers. I disconnected the horn and there was no crrrrrr sound. so now i know where the problem lies. why dont you try it too?
I really didn't know how to spell that "crrr" sound before I came across this forum.
zzzz, thats a cute signature you got on man. :)
Guys... Please. This isn't a chat room, let's talk about Audio, or not at all. It's ok to have a little banter in your post (the lord knows we are all guilty of that) but to make a post appreciating someone's signature?
Let's not abuse the free hand we have here. Thanks.
Welcome back zzzehar, you've been gone a while.
Karthik do let us know if any of the said solutions work for your crr crr.

Now i can't drive without a horn can i?!!!! Earth wire was replaced with a better JL Audio one and the RC cables checked AGAIN!! Gawd, no use..
karthik, check again for broken pin for the cable's connector. I had this problem once and see if teh cables plugged in right and tight the whole way in. The cable might have come loose near the HU side.
JK, do you mean check the RCA plugs?
Karthik, check each RCA wire. I would use a multimeter. then check the horn. it could be the horn relay. remember the sound can only come from the speakers if something is producing it so it best to stop the noise at the source.

Hi,
I recently picked up a Ford Ikon Flair. I need some expert advice on Audio. Here are the details:
My Budget - 13-15K
Front speakers are fitted by Ford. Not sure about the sound quality.
Looking for HU and two rear speakers (Note: Am not looking at Ampli and Sub-woofer)
The options given by dealer:
1) Blaupunkt Bahamas MP46 + Blaupunkt TH 693 speakers - 15.5K
2) Blaupunkt Mui MP36 + Blaupunkt TH 693 speakers - 15.5K
3) Alpine (Not sure of the model, but 12K system) with JBL Speakers - 16.2K - Sound Factor in Lavelle Road (Met Mr. Preetham who was very helpful. Thanks to Team BHP).
I need suggestions on which option to choose.
OR
Are there other systems/options? Some dealers told me that, Sony is not that good with local CDs. Also it skips frequently. Is this true?
I have the Blaupunkt quotes from a dealer, Final Touch in Mission Road. Any comments about this dealer in terms quality of work?
I am planning to fix the system within the next week. Would appreciate if I could get early replies.
thanks,
Raman.
i need a subwoofer for my zen....i think a 10 incher should be fine.... budget 3-4k. any suggestions.
