Yes THA555, expecting a landing price of 14.5k from ebay for a new piece. once upon a tima a sony 222 and a 444 were behind the lpg tank. so hope this also sits peacefully. other option will be to cover with plastic in existing location.

what are the ideal settings for treble and bass?

i have them on 3width-100Hz LPF at 80Hz for the sub
and the compos on 3width - 12.5KHz is that correct?

Anybody has Blaupunkt GTA 4 Mk II schematic diagram /service manual?
My amp goes to protect mode immediately after switching on and oscillates between protect and power on. It happens without load also. Not yet removed from car will do it tomorrow.

Thanks for the immediate reply karankapoor -could not check Internet and The AMP but Already tried disconnecting all wires, now only power, GND and remote wires are connected and the amp goes to protect mode.

looks like another case of moisture\water damage to me. atleast your has gone into protect mode. try opening it up and drying using warm air if there is no warranty. otherwise take it to reputed installer.

where are these settings? on the HU?

You will need the service manual then. I too suspect that there is an internal fault.

I want to Install 938 in rear parcel for my Vista. One car accessories shop quoted my Rs.3900 for JBL 938 and Rs.1100 for MDF board and installation. He said he has some branded MDF board. I want verify the pricing quoted by him. Does the installation and MDF board cost this much?

938 is usually <= 3600 with b&w depending on seller's off-take. The 'branded' MDF is a car-model-specific one, pre-finished with carpet cloth and reinforcement to prevent flex. Costs a bit more than the usual 600-700 'done specially for you' type which is never reinforced. I think you need to bargain with the guy or move on if he doesn't budge.

I could not find any defective part. It has 2sd718 and 2sb688 transistors and tl494 smps.
Amp actually works for a sec and goes to protect mode and again works for sec - and this continues
