as green pointed out, DONT go by videos. Idea is to listen before you buy. Almost ALL of the subs move like this

in fact, i have one of those sony Xplod Subs ( Bought when I was in college and based on the Sony Xplod ads) which looked great, and moved better, but sounded like crap.

So caveat emptor. And we're trying to make folks not make the same mistakes that we made!

Ask yourself. Are you buying a sub to look at or to listen to ?

Nah, I am sure Gunnu paaji won't do what I was inferring from JK's quip - output, not input!

Okay, I got it.

As am really busy with work I couldn't go to Emperor. I ask for a demo when I go there.

So, what is the price for a Bull sub with/with out the enclosure?

1. No Sir, am afraid.. you DIDN'T!

2. Fact of the matter is that when you go to Emperor (being representing BBW).. in all probabilities, you'd be recommended a BULL set-up.

3. Keeps on fluctuating

@ panky - its now at a friend's cafe, where its job nowadays is mainly to look good I eventually got a local ('bolton') made home sub which sounded much better

@ vaisakhr. last time, without enclosure was 5k, and with was some 8.5k. Emperor can make a box @ 2k

1. Really sir i got it. I will to listen both sub and decide.

2. Is there any problem with that recommendation. Like some problem with the brand or not being VFM etc.

Does the enclosure worth 2.5k? Or can we make some thing similar in performance(a DIY).

what emperor can make by themselves is usually good enough. buy the driver from them, and the box made by them

Visited Emperor this evening, and they suggested this config for my budget
  • Bull audio 12" sub (5.4k)
  • Sony XM-GTX6022 (3.5k)
  • Box, supplied them (1.7k)
  • Wiring (1.2k) {2.9k for Bull audio wires}
Total ~12k (with out Bull wires)

What do you guys think? May I go with this?

If I were you, I'd listened to atleast 2 more brands..compare and then decide. Steer clear off Sony.

Yes I asked for some more options within price range, but the next product they have is from JBL and Lighting Force which are in the ~7k range. That is too high for me

-1 for sony from my side too. ask them when they would get some other cheap 2 channel amps in stock ( like kenwood etc) and would suggest you wait.

on the other hand, if the JBL amp is a 4 channel, that would also not be a bad idea
