Why do you want a capacitor, for show? IMO you're better off investing in a more powerfull battery.

not for show, my ride is a 5 year old santro and 2 months back i changed the battery (amaron stock spec batttery). my installer feels its better to have a cap to avoid trouble.

Get another installer. How will a cap avoid trouble?

The amps would be DLS RA20 and DLS RA10.

Also planning to get a distribution block
StreetWires DBX44 - Power Distribution Blocks - Sonic Electronix

this is a 1 in and 4 out block out of which 2 would be used for the amps and 1 for a capacitor. the left over slot would be used for future upgrades if any.

guru's any suggestions on wiring & distribution are welcomed.

trouble in the sense dimming of head lights & prolonged listening leading to battery drain. also keeping in mind the life of the alternator (5+yrs) we felt a cap would be good investment.

Looking at the power available from the two amp which will be around 750RMS which you will achieve when you go high on volume. Output will be variable and so will be the current. Many here are running even 1000Rms without the cap. Caps will be more useful when the car is stationed. In running it will not make a difference. If you still looking to get one, get anything upto 1farad.
You could get a 2 gauge wiring with the distribution block and than use the 4 gauge wire from distribution block to power the amp.

dual amplifier wiring kit

I'm looking to buy a wiring kit (for 2 amplifiers). How about the one below:
Kicker 09PKD4 - 4 Gauge Amp Kits - Sonic Electronix

Would this be a good option & worth the price quoted or can I look around for other cheap options. Please advice.

dimming of headlights maybe but a cap will not do anything for battery drain due to p[rolinged listening.

I am in the process of deciding on a subwoofer and my priority after SQ is the enclosure size. Looking for a sub which would fit into smaller sealed enclosures in the region of 0.5 - 0.8 cc. The sub would be powered by an amp that delivers 500W RMS @ 2 ohms load but at an operating voltage of 13.8V. In real time conditions at 12V, I am expecting it to put out atleast 400W RMS, wont it ?

Music i listen to - Indian filmi songs, Trance, Hip hop and bit of rock.

Available options,

1. Boston G5 / G3 - None available in India, completely sold out.
2. Infinity Kappa 120.9W - Available but needs atleast 1.0 cc box.
3. IDQ V.3 10" / 12" - Available. Anybody know of the prices ?
4. ID V.3 10" - Available but can take only 350W. Can the 12" be put in smaller enclosures ?

Which of the above would be a better option or can anybody think of other options.

The IDQ V3 12 can be placed in a sealed box volume as low as .65 Cuft, the ID12 V3 can be placed in a .8 Cuft enclosure
