Personally I recommend buying all stuff from wholesaler or a seller you trust, and than going to one of those fancy shops for installation.
mate, he played a dvd-r on a mp3 player? or on some dvd player?

Sam, saw these at a dealers, being supplied to them @ Rs 550 (or so Im told). Apparently there are some "suppliers" delivering to shops. And dealers are passing it on as original JBL stock coming from the distributor.

You SHOULD take action!! This appears to be an extensive attempt at cashing in on your marketing and brand building...

Amit are you looking for a genuine fake? I know this might sound like an oxymoron but over in Malaysia and Indonesia they actually sell "genuine fakes". I dont know what these are but there are shops that deal in them. BTW i find prices of Harman International (JBL, Infinity, etc..) and Alpine equipment in India very competitive with US prices. To me it is just not worth the trouble of getting something without bill and warranty and assurance service.

See Amit, this is my point. You have just found out in this thread that there are non-genuine, spurious JBL wiring kits available. But yet you are considering buying a JBL wiring kit in the grey market, where you will not get a bill+warranty to assure you that you are buying the real thing. Why would you want to do that? I am sure your money is extremely real.
Please do not buy products in the grey market unless you have no other choice. It is simply not wrth it.

wire warranty againt manufacturing defect should be from the manufacturer, wiring is somethng that should be warrantied by your installer.

The wiring kit is a little less than 3K. RT, wiring doesn't even NEED a warranty. But my point is that a person selling you a fake unit, will not issue you a bill for it. The warranty, if nothing else is atleast an assurance that the product you have paid your GENUINE money for is the real Mcoy.
