Would option A / B include the cost of enclosures as well??

Either way with the current setup I have I would find paying 10% a bit steep. Though if I was a salaried individuals I wouldnt think twice about paying 10 % for an installers labour, as it is proffesional epxpertise that gives my ice the edge over others

Voting option A.

Imagine if you had to pay by the hour KB100000, you would have paid for 2 months by now

In most of automobile service centers, labour(even specialized) charges are based on time.
In case mercedes etc., which we can compare to professional installers the per hour cost is more.
hmmm, i dont think you could compare labour charges for replacing mechanical parts with an ICE install. there is more heart & soul to this install than the mechanical one, especially in the A.S.Ss. An ICE installer could probably be compared to an engine mod specialist.

BUMP!

I would like the experts to comment on professional install + tune charges for a Civic if he choose to have
6.5" components in front
6.5" coaxial in rear
One or two subs (depending on budget)
An amp for speakers. Amp for Sub.

Thanks.

Hello SS,

I think a good installer would charge 1000-1500 bucks labour + cables + charges for the box.

To some degree it depends.

If you buy all your hardware from the installer you can get a break on the install. I find this method saves me time too as I dont have multiple necks to catch.

A customer's psyche is typically to resist any additional charges for any service. A max of 10% is acceptable.

From a Customers POV, i dont think they know the importance and value of a good install. Most of the time they think its the dealers duty to do the install free as its just bout connecting wires and fixing speakers.

Depending on the Car and the ICE equipment, i'd say 10-20% is ok

The install is the key part of the ICE setup. Even if you spent lakhs on your ICE equipment, if not installed properly it is of no use. you wont enjoy it.

I have a very basic ICE setup in my car which cost me 18K for the stuff. I paid 4K for the install of a 2 channel amp and 4 speakers no sub.
