Re: Livin La Vida Loca en mi Fiesta!- A Musical Odyssey

installing the tweeters was a big task, this was a 4" big tweeter and it needed a heavy modification in the A pillar.

But the problem was the mod in the A pillar will bring the tweeter much nearer to the driver's face and will sound more loud and in the face music.

So made two semi-spherical FG pods, the base for these pods were paper mache balls.

I got help from an well known installer in Chennai for help with making these FG pods...they came out very well and matched the color of the car's dashboard perfectly.

They were a little big but they are installed in such a way that they do not hinder the vision.

A few pics of the pods and how they look with the tweeters in.....

Re: Livin La Vida Loca en mi Fiesta!- A Musical Odyssey

After all the installation done, the system was powered up and Wow!!! what a beautiful sound it was...the tweeters were just amazing they had all the detail and clarity you would expect.

The sound stage was large and dynamic, it was like listening music in a large room and it felt like the artists were playing the instruments right in front of you.

The midbass was excellent, only thing is, it is a little boomy now, i heard it takes 45 hours of run-in to get settled.

The subwoofer is just pounding great...

The overall sound is a little laid back to my taste, to overcome this a small upgrade is been planned. Will get back after that upgrade is completed...

Till then...your feedback and questions...

Awesome setup dude. I am planning one like this soon. But i am in conflict with the AMP's. How much did the Mosconi's cost and where did u source it from ?

If you could give a detailed price statement for your ICE it would be of great help.

And again your setup is mind blowing.

Thanks dude...I got the amps from BBW, Delhi. These are with bill and warranty.

You can search for their FaceBook page and from there you can download their latest price list.

The cost will be put up later..

Ohh.. I heard about them. Thanks for the info.

By the way how good are the Rainbows ? Mean like sound clarity wise, do the vocals and the mid's and lows sound distinctive ??

@PR_007

Thats a nice modification for the Tweeters. How much did the entire ICE set up cost?

During normal servicing of the Fiesta, what instructions do you give to the service advisor/technician? Have you ever found any issues happening to the ICE after servicing, any meddling?

Re: Livin La Vida Loca en mi Fiesta!- A Musical Odyssey

Till date i have not encountered any issues from the A.S.S side. They always take care of the ICE well.

I actually ask for the same technician and only when he is book my car for service.

Cost will be put later...it crossed the BIG 2 including the install the charges...

Congratulations on the upgrade, bro.
The tweeters are 4 inches(mid range driver dimension) in size because they come with a wave guide.
