Isn't AL based in Chennai? I remember seeing most of their trial vehicles with chennai registration marks.

AL has a factory in Ennore near Chennai. It's a big one and if any use local trains from Central to Gummidipoondi route - you can see the factory on both sides. Yes - train lines cuts through the factory!

And why not ? AL is headquartered in Chennai. It's sprawling factory at Ennore, Chennai, is the first AL factory anywhere in India. It is spread on both sides of the Grand Trunk railway track, with long traffic-light-controlled-subways, beneath the tracks, connecting both sides of the factory.

Where else would they do it? Ennore (north chennai) is their mother plant - and their next best facility is Hosur (TN again) - did you miss it?

I was of the opinion that the Hosur plant is their main plant, especially for L&MCVs, hence the confusion when I saw the Green Hills Chennai RTO number.
