Yeah I should aim for stealing a B7R from the bangalore muncipal corporation. that should be fun.

So far have tried my hand at Swaraj Mazda college bus. Indian oil Petrol Tanker and a tractor.

A very good write up. Keep it up bro!!

There was a time when we kids (aged 11-15) used to thrash one of our family Tempo Traveller. It was a 14+1 seater and the only vehicle we could lay our hands on without nobody knowing at home. And it used to do all the smallest and worst pocket roads in and around our ancestral home. We could never take it out to the open roads due to the fear of getting caught! We even had plenty of misadventures of this big beast getting stuck in one rice paddy field. This thing used to handle all our misuses and always came back without any trouble caused. No wonder it still sells in respectable numbers!

I'm not very sure about the price as it is my office cab. I think it costs 5.85 exshowroom bangalore. But again I'm not sure.

No idea about the service charges, but theres an upgraded one coming up which will have the mercs C220 CDI engine inside.

There are always some small problems here and there. accelerator cable snapping silencer becoming loose, vibrations such things but it still goes on.

Our office TT has done 80K in 2 years. It was bought on feb 2005. There was never a day that the TT wasnt running.

great news about benz engine

It is a million dollar news that the gama/judo will be fitted with mercedes engine. those people who were sad that the om 616 is no more available may become happy.

I made an enquiry with force dealer at thiruvananthapuram, he told me the price for power steering/ ac model is 5.8, he also told that it will give 13 kms in city and about 16 in highway. but the guy was not clear about the service intervals. Also there was some doubts about its kerb weight,as there is mentioning of it in company literature in force motors' site.

rhandle, you just revived a 2-year old thread

interesting to note that there is mention of the re-launch of the MB engine (presumably the OM611CRDi ) in the Gama/Judo in Mar 2007. And we know it hasnt been launched yet : typical of Force offerings. We should keep this thread active and update this when the OM611 CRDi is actually launched. That would give an idea of how long the TBHP members (including me ! ) have been looking forward to the launch of the OM611 CRDi.

The Tempo Traveller is infact a Mercedez Benz clone... barring the looks and pricing, everything else leaves a lot to be desired (reliability, quality, comfort, etc.,)

Does the TT have a turbocharged engine as well offlate? I've heard this whistling sound while riding next to a brand new LWB traveller. It was a turbo whistle.

75 BHP. TT and Gurkha share the same engine/power specs.
