Topchi 4x4 by AL
Missed out on a couple -
the UAZ-469 Jeep, which was phased out in the '90s IIRC, due to a spares sourcing issue,
and the MKZT missile carrier, probably still in use with the IAF (though it's a 16x16 rather than a 4x4):D.
I suppose you left out the mundane Gypsies and MM-540s because they're too common!
And where are the Army Jeeps, Gypsies and the MM540 Jeeps ?
well hey do some contribution towards the posting of photos of MMs and Gypsy!
every one has seen them on the forum, so i thought of posting 4x4s other than those two!
let see some contribution from other members on the indian army 4x4s!
i have never seen a VAZ being used by IA. could some one post a photo of it in indian army camo or being used by IA?

Saw a lovely white military MM540 with big tyres and arches on MG road in Blore last evening. Looked awesome. Was also raised a lot. Why can't MM give us this version?
Here is a picture of our beloved Maruti Gypsy (Image Source: Wikipedia)
I believe the indian army had also purchased tatra trucks also if i am right.
Here are a few pics.
If i am not wrong, isn't this Arka's Jeep (blue colored one)?
Ex Indian AIrforce Jeep, now with a private Owner in TN. Picture is from the web.
Wonder what happened to this AXE project. Did this get inducted in the Army ? and the Rakshak on a Bolero platform ?

That's correct (with the TN regd). The second one with the WB regd belongs to Rajdeep Datta-Roy. Both are JeepThrills members.
Also, it is true that all vehicles inducted into the Army need to be 4x4 (with the exception of staff cars like the Ambi)
Hey This looks real good. How do they perform offroad.
Regds

Dear Desertfox,
Thanks for sharing these pictures.
Interesting to see the AXE running on BFGs.
@Khan: :OT If you are listening, have a look at the simple footrest setup on the AXE. A similar setup might be quite useful to hop into ur gypsy :D
Here's another Army concept from Mahindra based on the Bolero platform.
