Something quite the opposite of the pictures here, may be OT.

Rubber Tyred Metro trains

Had the chance to ride on few of them when in Paris last month. Does not ride as smooth as the conventional metros, but a nice alternative, I think.

I think there is one Rail Car that is used by railway officials on daily basis in Kalka Shimla Hill railway.
