Honda Jazz 2011 dashboard rattling noise

I am facing this problem for a while now and this is driving me crazy (almost crazy).

Here is the video of the rattling sound. Please observe from 24 seconds onwards. It's not the phone holder noise which is more apparent. It is more of the click/knock sound that is in the background.

I really need help isolating the source of the sound and eliminating it.

I tried the following:
1. Visit service center
2. Removed the plastic trim below the wipers
3. Removed the right side dashboard trim
4. Greased the door hinges
5. Checked under the dashboard for lose wires

Nothing has helped so far. The noise is as is and has not changed.

Please help.

Re: DIY : Damping the swift with yoga mats and making it rattle free

Girish that is definitely some loose nut or plastic part that's at fault here.
Did you have any aftermarket fitment done in that front right area, they might have dropped something by mistake into the air vent near the windshield while putting up the film on the lower border.

Girish its tough to point out the source sitting here. I would suggest that you take it to a different Honda service center and sit on their head till they locate the source and rectify the problem. You need to be firm with them as this takes up a lot of their labor time but does not bring in the money.
Also you can try taking a car enthusiast friend with you to investigate the source or take help from a fellow bhpian from mumbai who can be there in person.

I did this primarily on my boot area and speaker tray. Reason being speakers are on rear tray. My main purpose to damp on my skoda yeti which i did and now no rattling sound on high volume or on some frequency (apparently the rear speakers in my yeti were vibrating).

Last week my esteem driver side door handle just broke away, so wen t ahead and changed the lock myself. however the lock is no longer body colored (its black) which is okay. I took this opportunity to do another DIY which i was planning since long on my esteem. It was damping the doors, and i used tufkote sound deadening spray. I found it much easier as compared to damp sheets. The result is good for reducing road noise. Attaching a few pictures.
