@aditya:My works were just like yours when i started too, dont worry. practice makes perfect.

Take time to explore all the advanced tools, it may be a little exhausting to go through each and every tool, but there is no other go. learn to use skew & warp & the polygonal lasso.

Take utmost care and time to find the most suitable donor pic. google is your friend when it comes to searching for donor pics. select 4 to 5 donor pics and then pick out the most suitable one by comparing.

btw how'd u learn photoshop ???

Im very veryyy far away from the word "professional"lol:.im still in learning phase. i started off with changing colors of rides , trying bodykits etc.then got few pointers from gurus like SRK, ramie , stratos etc and started to spend more time for each project. there are plenty of free tutorials available on the net.

the key point for perfecting photoshop is spending time (lots of it, without getting frustrated).:)

Got bored. So, I fiddled with the Innova.

Nice start.
Assuming that you don't know photoshop at all and are learning it all on your own,here are a few tips that may help you:
1.) Keep working on side-views and then move on to 3d pics.(This will help you to learn the basics.)

2.) Don't try to brush body kits right now. Instead use donor pics.

3.) Practice a lot. (It will take sometime.)

i'm new to photoshop terms. by brush , u mean creating my own body kit ???stupid:
plus here is a bentley lowered and i added black paint

@adityabenz: good one there buddy.just one suggestion, exclude the turn indicators and front grills before doing the paintjob.

i actually removed them and the door handles for that streamlined look .
the grille has been excluded.hey by the way do you have un edited pictures of that contessa, the side view ?? if you do please mail them to adityabenz@gmail.com.

I have a query with regard to using photoshop. I just got Photoshop 7.0 installed on my laptop and need some help from the experts.

What Im looking to do is, in a pic I would like to have a certain object in its natural color and everything else around it in black and white.

Experts please help me know what option and how can i get this done in photoshop?

I have added a pic which explains what Im looking.

I am not an expert but then too may be these steps could be of a little help.

Step1: Select the object you need to keep in the original color, using the lasso tool.
Step2: Copy the selected object and paste it. (It will be pasted on a new layer)
Step3: Select the Background layer and copy it onto a new layer.
(Keep the Background copy layer below the object you need in color)
Step 4: While the Background copy layer is selected press Shift+CTRL+U.
If it doesn't work follow these steps:
a) Go to "Image" Tab. (its on toolbar)
b) Select "Adjustments"
c) Select "Desaturate" .

Step5: You should have a black/white background while your object is still in its natural color.

Step6: Use the eraser to smoothen the selected edges.

Step7: DONE!! Save the image:)
