@clevermax: please don't take my statement otherwise. When I started photography as a hobby the only brands that I had heard was Leica, Pentax, Olympus, Nikon, Canon, Minolta, Hasselblad, Mamiya, Fujiya, Zenza Bronica & Agfa (I've a bellowed Agfa:)). The more popular lenses were Carl-Zeiss.

Minolta was acquired by Sony, so the SLR technology which Sony has today came from Minolta.

EDIT: @TG, PP is fine but what are you trying to convey with crimson 'pugmarks' (or "pug chinh"). looks straight out of a horror movie !

Well, to me it looks like someone walking out of your heart, thus explaining the red "pugmarks". I am a diehard romantic :)

Sometimes I feel that too much of technology takes out the fun. While autofocus is a great help in tight situations and Mode P does the most for you, the fun of adjusting A & S and then turning the focus ring is lost most of the times..

Whoa! I second that anytime, anywhere! Plus there are times when autofocus can become a big nuisance. Manual will never betray you for sure..especially in the digital age when instant review for granted. Simple exsample is getting the eyeof a subject in focus, i find that wheni do thiis in auto I messup more than I do the same in Manual.

Shot in Manual focus. And M mode is all i use, I tried A but I am not comfortable with letting the camera do the thinking for me.

Damn, you have a constant supply of California Girls to shoot. How does that Beach boys song go, I wish they all could be california girls.... And in your case, they are.

I'd prefer the Windows XP 'Bliss' wallpaper kind of a look for this photograph. :) The blue and the green.

TG isn't this the same one which you showed in your B&W tutorial?

Been out of commission with a badly flared up sinusitis infection last couple of days. Finally managed to walk around the garden this morning and clicked this

I kinda like the black and white one, since we see a lot of such blissful shots(I myself have clicked way too many of them!) . I kinda like to go for what is less seen, less common, so it stands out :)
