Portraiture of boy from Kokkre Bellur who was the star of the show amongst the group that had gathered to explain all things Crane.

He was initially reluctant to get his pic taken, but later on opened up.

This shot is him showing us a crane's feather - that he explained was the resultant of an epic battle between a crane and an eagle that eventually managed to eat one of the crane's eggs.

Thanks, condor, for the response. I shall improve, definitely.

Thanks Preetam, its the same flower, but HW had taken a macro of the same. :) Your water experiments have inspired me to try something, waiting for the weekend ! First glance of that snap, I thought you already got a DSLR !!

Another macro through my 70-300, techniques taught by HW ! I have accepted him as my Macro guru. :)

You're welcome.
Just pray for me brother, that I can get the DSLR by next month.
Have waited enough! please:

I felt that this picture was a good capture, hence posting here. Please excuse the quality as it is taken in a mobile camera.

Wow lovely flower shot shaju!
Somehow those thick borders that you guys add to the pictures aren't going down well with me.

Shaju,

Great photographs, the flower photo is my fav. I love the bokeh that you can get from a telephoto :). And no am no guru, I am still figuring many things out myself. Like I figured out DOF with a macro lens at Hebbal, have to work with background and light next time around. BTW, the real macro guru (Image) will be in India soon, I hope I get a chance to go to Mangalore to meet him and learn a thing or two :) as he won't be coming to bangalore.
