Yes I am using a Canon EOS 500D with the Sigma 150-500 OS which I believe is great value for money. Though I have a tripod I seldom carry it with me hence most of my shots are handheld, the OS really helps but then again you do need good light as it is not really a fast lens.

Chevy Lover, great night shots. Can you post the exif data?

Something totally off the track we are on right now..
I call it 'Not on talking terms !' :

Thanks Shajufx, i too am still in the learning phase :), those are some pretty impressive shots you've got there on your website. Looking forward to more shots soon.

I shoot using a Canon 20D and sometimes a Canon 50D. A few lenses that i use are the 10-22, tamron 17-50, canon 100-400, canon 70-200/f4

Nitin, absolutely stunning work over there. There is a lot to learn from you. Waiting to hear about your gear. :thumbs up

Thanks for your comments Abhishek. Yes, they were intentional, as it was more ease in coding. Might work on it in the later stages, as i update the site.

Good work no doubt!
Just have some opinions about the web-designing a bit, when I clicked to see an Image, either one or two,in part or whole remains in the right or left (I know its intentional).I personally felt that,it grabs the attention from the main photograph.

(Dont get it wrong OK? I am just a novice)

Thanks Preetam, actually i was in Bangalore but only till 2005, though then i was just a novice photographer using a 3 MP p & s :). Mentioned my gear at the top of the post

Nitin, those compositions are amazing.
Had you been based in Bangalore, I would have bothered you every evening starting today in order to learn even 10% of that!
Simply amazing!
Please throw some light on your gear brother!
+1

Thank you Pramod, still a lot to learn

Shaju,

Thank you for inviting me. It's always fun to go shooting with you :). Yep, your guru was helpful in suggesting compositions, he was treating you like his beloved student ;). And the shot is mindblowing!!! I went through the photographs I got and some of them have come out well, will edit and post them later. Keep them coming!

Here is one from me. These flowers are all over bangalore, guess it's their season! I like to call this one a couple :D.

The flower looks so beautiful. Needless to say, awesome shot brother.Btw, I'd like to think they're more like siblings considering their size :P

@ shajufx Hat's off man!!! That's an awesome shot. I somehow never got good photographs of butterflies. Could you please share the EXIF too?

Here's one from me. Had been contemplating on shooting new shots but nothing interesting came out so processed one from the backlogs.

Thanks guys, I am sure this is just a proof that I am working so hard to learn the basics, nothing more !:) Whenever I talk to Veeresh, I realise there is another 99% more to learn in this field. Here is the exif data, No-1 is of the butterfly above and No-2 is the one below. There is zero cropping on both, its 100% out of camera.
