Moving the light source (flash) off the camera does wonders..

Indeed, I love experimenting with it. A friend of mine thought it was overprocessed (parts of hand), but that's the original! Lighting from the side is used to bring out the texture and the shadows convey the mood :).

Yea, its the roof of our apartment. Actually it is an HDR of 3 exposures. Shot this after a drizzle in the evening.

I liked the composition. The lighting is surely doing wonders there. The dark tones, the red colored thread and texture of the hands adds beauty to this one.
