This guy was dancing in bare ground all that fog you see is dust flying around, it is a backlit image. No still at TVM, the cochin thing didn't workout.

Looks like that dragonfly has got a damaged tail. Nice shot.

Yesterday, US president and first lady went to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. Here's mine, shot off INR.100 currency note.

Nice colors there brother! We've a similar dragonfly in our home. It's much fun to chase him with the cam.

Awesomeness! I'm finding it very hard to believe that you clicked it from a Rs.100 note!

Thanks Amith. Nice shot!

Dragonflies are fun! They sit calm, they pose and they even smile! This guy below was not so happy! He looked at me like i'm one of those paparazzi. Attacked me soon after this shot, and i had to run for cover.

Welcome to team-bhp macro master!

Was surprised to see the handle 'anvancy' in last updated. Had to double check if its team-bhp itself.

I always wonder how do you get so close. Do you stun the insect, or sing to it or something to make it sleep?

Dragonflies love to bask in the sun. They are pretty motionless. This gives you ample time to make a move and take the shot.

If you go in a hurried way, make swift movements then surely the subject is going to get afraid. But if you make soft moves, your size is the stunner for the subject.

here is another to show some details.

Crazy Driver, Klub class, Avancy,

Amazing Macro's!

Gandhi, dragonfly's compound eyes are just too professional. Please share your lens specs and exif's.

Looks like its a macro bliss going on ! Anvancy, second image is a colorful treat .
Having played with a dedicated macro lens for few months, I assume these are more than 1:1 shots, right ?

Velankanni church is so huge, a super wide angle would not do justice.

At 14mm you should be able to get a complete shot of the church from the same angle.
