re: PC & Console games - Discussion Thread

Ouch - I forgot to post up here on the awesome sale that Steam had on their site last month. There were some really good deals on games. I'd purchased the following:

1. Tomb Raider
2. Spec Ops : The Line
3. Arna 2
4. Doom Classic Complete (just for old times sake) - sale still on

Good deal. I'm playing Spec Ops. Started with Tomb Raider but Spec Ops is killer - amazing storyline.

The batman arkham series on PS3.The best part is you can keep playing almost endlessly even after the main story line is over.

Has anybody played 'The Last of Us' on PS3? Not spoilers but I am sure you will not hold another game in high esteem for a long, long time after that.My favourite from yesterday.

Yeah, I wanted to play this game and sadly not available for PC. Will wait. One game I really want to play.

And just finished "Rochard" - a nice, interesting platform game. Liked it.

Finished Spec Ops: The Line also. Decent game.

Completed Tomb Raider also. Loved the game. Nicely done.

Next - Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons. But missed a good deal on Steam and price is up to $15 now. But worth it and since Indie game, want to support them.

On the launch day! Had preordered the title months back and counted my days for it. Took an off from work when the copy finally arrived and finished it off. As much as it was hyped and for all the perfect ratings it garnered, the title very well was worth every penny and time I had spent. Typical of Naughty Dog’s titles - they never disappoint.

Looking forward to Naughty Dog's Uncharted 4.

Wait for? A PC port? That will never happen. Naughty Dog's titles have always remained exclusives to a platform (in this case PS3) unlike series like GTA wherein Rockstar cashes in on the console platforms first and gradually launches the titles to the PC.

If you loved Rochard, do play Trine and Trine 2. Loads of platforming and supports co-op as well.

When you get the title, don’t forget to keep a box of tissues handy. You’ll need them.

And if you support the Indie movement, please try Papo & Yo. It is such a lovely game about a boy and a monster set in a favela and the story is based on the developer’s own past. This will have you in tears - guaran-damn-teed!

If you love a bit of survival horror + platforming, try Deadlight.

If you have watched/are watching The Walking Dead serial, try the game from The Telltale Games. It is an episodic interactive action-adventure survival horror title. The first season walked away with several GOTY (Game of the Year) and other accolades in 2012 and the second season is out now. The same gripping storyline in the works.

I am currently playing GTA 5 on the PS3 and Euro Truck Simulator 2 on Windows PC. Both are great games and looking forward to complete them. Can anybody suggest good games for PC?

Asseto Corsa is awesome. Nothing like whipping a 458 'round a track, and kicking it's butt out ;-)

I've been playing loads of F1 2014 recently, along with my regular doses of DayZ Epoch and Arma 3: Epoch.

Going to start XCOM soon. Will probably play it on tomorrow's flight out and back

Finished "The Vanishing of Ethan Carter".

Graphics is stunning! Liked the game play. Was expecting it to be a little longer though. Interesting concept. But I was hooked to the game and finished it in a few hours yesterday. Satisfying!

I just finished Tomb Raider 2013. This is the only game I've cared to follow since I played the first one in 1998. Loved every one of them and the latest one is like watching an interactive movie.

Now playing the following games.

Portal 2 on my iMac
The Room on my Nexus 5

Just bought Bioshock Infinite on the iMac - There is a sale going on in Steam. This game is now available for 500 INR. It is a steal at that price. Go grab it if it is a genre that excites you.

Once you're done with the SP campaign, try to rope in a friend and play the co-op campaign with VOIP. Absolute fun - guaran-damn-teed!

Better than the SP campaign IYAM.
