Have you already put your post on JJMehta? If not, that is a good place to start with. |
Thanks @ajay_satpute, will try that. I have some old tape camcorder too, that I have no need for.

The bigger buffer of D810. I sometimes use the 1.3X crop mode in D7100 when I need the extra speed or buffer. |
So, this is a key driver for me to consider upgrading to the D810 (in the absence of a D400/D9300):
- Buffer of D7100, 14 bit lossless compressed RAW: 6 shots
- Buffer of D810, 14 bit lossless compressed RAW: 28 shots
- Buffer of D7100, 12 bit lossless compressed RAW: 7 shots
- Buffer of D810, 12 bit lossless compressed RAW: 47 shots
Guys,
I have a query regarding which lens could be a better bet between Sigma 18 - 250 and Tamron 18 - 270 for Canon 1100D. I intend to sell off both my kit lenses i.e. 18-55 and 55-250 basically since it becomes pretty painful to keep changing lenses when out in dusty areas.
My Cam's sensors already has some pretty nasty lint deposits which would require expert hands to remove.
Thanks!

Get sensor cleaning and service done from Canon Service. They are usually good and reasonably priced.
SO, 7D Mk2 gets a silver award and the D750 gets a gold award.
Seems DPReview gives more weightage to absolute image quality, than performance.

I read that too. Was quite surprised. Looks like image quality/dynamic range, gets much higher priority in their scheme of things.

Give me the D7100 sensor with 7D Mk 2 performance, I will be a happy guy :)
I am renting a D810 today. Let's see if I like the added bulk of a fullframe.
Played around with a 70-200 f/2.8 VR2 for a day. Very nice glass, but I don't think I will ever buy it.

Have had the 18-270 "PZD" version on our 550D for about 3 years now. Works just beautifully as a small light travel camera. For everything else, we use the 5D2.
Since you are from Mumbai, the service center of Tamron is near the Mahindra building in Worli.
Heavy crop from an image taken with D610 :)

I am in plans of buying a DSLR, expecting it to be an one time buy with no itch for upgrade atleast for 5yrs. Single lens which does all the average job.
Narrowed in on Canon D60, still wondering difference between different lens models.
Any help is a good start for me. Hoping to buy one before new years. Thanks mates.

Was it a typo ? D60 or 60D ?
Guys,
Got my Nikon D3200 with 18-55 kit lens for Rs 16000 at Good Guys (Perth, Australia. My relative is living there who will bring the cam). Am looking for a cheap lens (second hand and decent quality is the priority). Will be mostly taking macro and formal pics. Which lens is the most suitable for these uses?
Budget is around 3000 to 4000 INR
Thanks,
Achyuth

There are two options in ~4k range:
1. Buy a reverse ring (with aperture control). It will cost ~2k.
For macro: Use 18-55mm with this ring
For Formal/Portraits : Use 18-55 mm between 50 and 55 mm
http://www.amazon.in/Fotodiox-Apertu...dp/B005ODKGLG/
2. Get 50 mm f/1.8D, street price 5k. Second hand 3 - 4k. It wont autofocus on 3200, but will give excellent image quality at f/2.8 and beyond. Quite good for portraits.
Guys need help with Nikon D5100.
When I bought my DSLR, I never though of requirement like GPS tag on photo, bluetooth, wifi etc options in camera. Now I started thinking its good to have a geotag on photos. The Qs I have now is
1. How to transfer photos from DSLR to mobile? is there any attachment available which can do this job?
2. Is there any app/way which can use mobiles location and tag it to photo? I use Galaxy S4.
Appreciate if someone can guide me on this stupid:
Regards
