These specs look quite close to Nokia 6131. Keep an eye on its upgrade

Well... I would love to have a rocket launcher, a water purifier, a built in tv blah blah blah... two hitches to it though. Even if such a thing were to be available will it be really a mobile? And second, how costly such a stuff will be? To me a mobile that does 10 things at an average or below average quality and yet charges a premium in the name of convergence is not of much use.

Recently I wanted a no-nonsense mobile that does not cost the moon, is easy to carry and yet more than a bare bones phone. After a lot of looking around I purchased the SE K750i. I feel that if there ever was a phone that should get an award for hitting the right balance on every front this is it.

It costed me a pidly 10k. Thats it. And yet, it has one of the strongest reception. Clarity is amazing. It has a 2mp cam that takes amazing photos with settings like white balance, zoom, auto focus etc... and the quality is enough to make the photos more than just usable. The flash also acts as an emergency fluorosent light. It has a full features radio and media player and acts as a fabulous video iPod sorts... sound is just mind blowing. Also works as a nice thumb drive. Various other features like irda, bluetooth, usb (with datacord) etc comes standard. It has some of the most engaging games I have seen in a mobile. The memory is also upgradable upto 2gb (comes with a standard 64mb card).

And with an average of 1-1.25hrs of talking everyday, some photo clicking or music listening, bluetooth file transfer etc the charge lasts me full 5 days!!!! And the phone charges from 0 to 100% in just under 2 hrs...

And for such a dynamo it fits in your palm! I think thats the ideal thing to carry around with you. Anyday.

My dream phone.. ( never actually had a dream about a PHONE per se )

well here it goes:

1. Make and recieve calls audibly
2. send and recieve the occassional SMS
3. Should fit in trouser pocket
4. Should have a torch for dark room emergencies

Well my NOKIA 1100 fits the bill perfectly...

The one i am using right now Imate Jasjar is my dream phone.

What all do i do with it on a daily basis:

Phone (obviously)
Personal calendar and tasks list.
Notes.
Connect to wifi and browse net.
Connect to GPRS in case WiFi absence and browse net.
Connect my laptop to my phone and browse using GPRS.
Some quick mailing.
Music player
Movie player (It has 640x480 vga screen).
Cool games
E-Books and digital magazines.
My weather man.
Occasional documents and Excel sheets.
My mileage tracker.
My remote control (it has the same range as TV remote and can control any devise that receives IR signal).
All my log-ins and other confidential information secured with encryption.
Multi-timezone clock.
Dictionary for quick reference.
Unit conversion.
Calculator (Along with scientific).
USB Flash drive.

I can access all the information and applications very easily. I added few applications for ease of use. It has 520 MHz process with 64 MB RAM and 128 MB ROM and is decent enough with all the above stuff. Also it has a great querty keyboard.

All my softwares are either my own developed software or freeware or commercial sofwares (all of them licensed).

I could have GPS if bluetooth was working on the phone. It's no where close to being wearable but that is some price for the benefits.

iPhone iPhone and nothing other than the iPhone. Its not about the phone, its about making a statement
Functionality, features and most importantly, timeless aesthetics!

So, in case it wasn't clear already, my dream phone... the iPhone.

Yeah.. "walk on the blue side" was my first mobile phone .. Though my overall favourite is my current one - O2 Atom.

My dream phone would be O2 Atom powered by fuel cell batteries that lasts a thousand years instead of 1.5 days.
