ramie no matter what you get, the SQ will depend upon headphones. If you plan to listen via your own headphones and not the supplied ones(which are the cheapest variety) take those along.
All these pocket players compromise on headphone quality to cut costs.
I have seen that a good pair of headphones makes a world of difference to the sound.

I also suggest you take your good quality headphone and then listen. most if the OE headphones are not that good. someone told me that panasonic makes good ones and they don't sell them seperately. i am planning to buy a panasonic cd player to get hold of the headphones.

8.2k you just get the PSP+Adapter, rest you can get a 512mb or 1GB card,Headphones+UMD's you require at an extra cost, buying the complete package of 10.4k is you only ge a 32MB card,Pouch,a Screen protection coating,Headphones and pouch,I calculated in that 10k budget you can get everything loose pack with a 512MB card.

8.2 - 8.7k(grey) is the rates you get in Heera Pana or Alfa(Mumbai)
10.2-11.5k(you get the full package)

I brought a Creative Zen V plus MP3 player in the US. A few questions:

1. Will the FM radio work in India? If it wont, what can I do to upgrade like firmware or something?
2. The player works on PC's with a driver installation only. What happens if I lose the original CD? Is it possible to download the drivers?
3. Are USB device chargers available in India? I saw a charger in US for $30. Specifically made for Ipod but works with others. Didnt think it was worth it. I heard that PC USB charging takes a longer time.

MP3 player owners and experts, Please help

1. the FM in the player will work in India without doubt. My colleagues have got 3 from the US and all work fine.

2.you can download the driver from the creative site.

3. chargers will be difficult for USB devices whereas ipod chargers are easily available. moreover the chargers will not be original and may damage the player battery. It is better to charge through the PC. always remember the slower the charging the better the life of the battery. USB charging doesnt take very long little more than an hour.

Vid, I have heard that extended USB charging damages the USB port. Is this true? The user manual says min 3 hrs for full charge.
