Can anyone recommend a toaster model?

Picked up a Morphy Richards model with motorised lifter (not spring loaded pop-up), motorised cover on top for faster toasting, and additional functions like toast reheat, one-side toasting and thawing, about 1-1/2 years ago from Electronics Bazaar. Works well. You might want to consider it.

Obviously, their marketing was aimed at Team-BHP members!

Looking for good sound/music system and budget is around 20K max
Should support CD/DVD/USB stick/hard drive etc
Friends any feedback/model suggested.
Need for playing soft music like Ghazals/normal songs
NOTE : This is not for CAR

Which is the most powerful/feature-rich handheld vacuum cleaner available in India? Os is that an oxymoron? It's going to be used to clean drapes, bedspreads, computer keyboards etc, and as I have a small flat I'd like to buy a vac that can be easily stowed away in a cupboard.

:OT rl: Nick, you really saw the funny angle. It toasts so fast, it even left it's "a" behind, somewhere along the way...

Missed that! <Blush>

Good thing they kept the "t"!

Now, today's sad news... RIP... my Russell Hobbs kettle!

At 3kw, it boiled real fast. When new, it also had this amazing change-colour feature: cold it was dark blue, but when the water boiled it turned red! Unfortunately, after a few months, it turned red and stayed red, but it still lived for several years.

I think this will get better response in the home theater system thread.

Advise required to buy a 25 lts electric Geyser. It should be energy efficient preferably 5-Star rated BEE & must be aesthetically pleasing to look at.

Kindly advise.

Thanks for the link. After checking the models on offer I eventually settled for the smaller Easy Clean. It cost 19K and seems to be doing a good job.

I'm looking for a 320L Fridge (Budget ~18K) and a top loader fully automatic washing machine (Budget ~15K). Need suggestions urgently!

Have any of you bought this stuff in Mumbai recently? Contact details of retailers would be most welcome.

Thanks

Whoops -- I meant to say Rs 1900. Fortunately for me nobody seems to be reading this thread carefully. :D

Recently bought an AO Smith for kids' bathroom for 7.2K. They come with a 7 year warranty for tank and 2 year warranty for heating element, which is extended to 4 years if you call AO Smith and register your product.

I have a question about instant Geysers. At my parents place in Bombay, there is an Spherehot instant geyser (3 KW, 1 L) - I had purchased it in 1996 or so. Even when you turn the flow full on, the water comes out of it absolutely steaming hot.

In my home in Pune, I have a Bajaj instant geyser (3 KW, 1L) - for water to get steaming hot, I have to keep the flow at minimum - even then after 3-4 minutes, the waters the temp decreases even more. This is not just with Bajaj - I have seen the same even with Racold 1L instant geysers.
This doesn't seem to be because of Pune's colder weather because even in Pune's summer, the geyser doesn't heat as well as the older geyser in Bombay December.

What has changed here - are geysers designed to heat less to become more energy efficient or something?

The geyser at my parents house is fully rusted now - half of the outer body has been eaten away by rust - it looks awful, but I am not changing it because I am not sure I can find a geyser today which heats as well.
