PS3 in the house!!!

Hi everyone,

Mom just got me the 60gb version from Amreeka!
Its gorgeous to look at. Darn heavy too!!!

Have 2 games right now - Ridge Racer 7 (downright s***s) and Motor storm (mindblowing graphics).

Have been staring at the console for the last 2-3 hours . Its downright beeeeeeeeyotiful.

Only grudge is - I don't yet have a 42'' lcd/plasma to really get the feel of it!!

Sponsors are most welcome

Wont be able to sleep for sure.. waaaaaaaaaaaah i want an lcd

p.s.: haven't yet tried it, but will PS2 games appear sharper/better on this console?

My cousin brought one down yesterday. He also had to get a Sony Bravia 42" to enjoy it to the fullest. Very less games available.
The clarity of the thingy is to die for. It's worth buying it for just this reason.

Some PS2 games work well in this but I didn't notice very much of a difference in graphics. Some games load and operate very fast.

We're going to hook it to our Sony Projector this weekend and see how it behaves.

If he brought it down from Dubai its because Jumbo runs a Bravia+PS3 promotion these days - exactly the same config that you mentioned. So if you're in the market for an LCD TV (I personally prefer Plasma to LCD) then I suppose its a matter of extending your budget (considerably) to get the PS3 and you can claim you got one of the two rather cheap.

Yes! He bought it from Jumbo and WOW! I didn't know about the offer thingy.
He bought himself a JVC LCD TV and brought down the Bravia to Kerala.

He is not much of a gaming fan. So, we get to enjoy the PS3 and the bravia while he gets to watch Pirates of the carribean in his JVC. Kewl!

Had some good fun today playing Tennis (one on one) , F1 2006 Rainbow 6 and Call of duty 4.
F1 experience is great with 5.1 sounds and nice graphics. It deserves a Steering wheel + pedals to fully enjoy it.
The cordless controllers are great and lasts for some good time.

I don't play Tennis. It makes you run a lot and you need to work with your hands harder to achieve some good result.
I prefer F1. You can sit inside the thingy and it will take you to 300+ kms with very less effort.
Where're those good old games like MaxPayne, Counter strike etc..?
