Really? Practice makes perfect. The two most difficult races in that are Suzuka (that S-curve is hard) and Eiger Nord..whatever - the mountain course. Keep at it and you'll get better.
Why are you using low powered cars BTW? Do the races you've cracked a couple of times to earn enough points to buy a nice car. Me and my son have a Ferrari 599, a Corvette Z06, a Skyline GT-R Coupe (GT5 tuned), a Honda Integra Type-R, a Golf GTi and a Suzuzki Capuccino (the last three for specific races) all from racing in category C events. |
These are the cars that are giving me trouble. My thumbs are sore from pushing the car to its limit. But, it wont go beyond 100 odd kms an hour. And you bet the Suzuka and Eiger Norwand is quite difficult. Will try again this weekend.

Do you use the blue/red racing line as a guide? - If not activate it. The smoother you drive, the greater the chance of beating the game.
Do you you race in AT or MT? - if you are new to the game try using AT - helps you focus on driving and braking rather than fidgeting with gears.
If your regular mode is AT try and switch to MT - gives you greater control over acceleration.

Any new game that i play, all controls are by default set to the easiest. So, all lines are activated, i know blue is when you can speed up and red denotes slowing down/braking etc.
Also, i always have played in Automatic mode till date. God knows, i wont clear the C segment, if i switch to manual as then instead of the race, i will be looking at the optimum rpms to change the gears, thanks to tbhpstupid:

Well the game warns you when you need to change with a blinking red light in MT mode.
Smooth, error-free driving is the key especially in the races where the Integra starts last on the Daytona track and has to overtake everyone else and where the Capuccino takes on other K cars - one mistake and you're done. Suzuka and Eiger are more a test of skills on how to tackle turns and curves.
Dude this whole S class thing has me so irritated now its not funny...whats with things like you HAVE to race in a Ferrari, and you have to do this and do that. Its fun with all the tuning and all but...comeon
hey did any of you buy anything new?? Ive done resistance2 call of duty and dead space..but I need something awesome to play...any help please? and need for speed undercover sucks bigtime...

farcry2 is nice but im not into FPS alot. third person view is a lil more suitable for my taste..I like to watch my back...myself lol!
Mobike008 - thats so true. I think NFS Undercover was a massive let down.
Playing Fear2 at the moment - I love that game.

Yes - for the graphics and experience of driving/controlling cars which some of us would just dream of!
No - Unless you can master driving with fingers! I gave up after trying 5-6 times on the Suzuki Cappuccino! The worst car I have ever driven in a game! :Frustrati
(as mobike said, even I was not able to cross the C segment races!)

try switching on traction control. The capuccino skids around a lot and traction control helps to keep it on track.
I really enjoyed the Capuccino races - it's like racing a go-kart. In fact because of the slow pace of the race, I learnt how to shift manually with the PS3 controller.

I always have all the controls like traction switched on and some of the controls are greyed out meaning you cant change them. But, still it is tough to race with such low powered cars. Will try out manual gear, havent tried that till now.
@Speedfreak, dont think twice, buy it now. GT5, is the best graphically made racing game ever. Much superior than any other Xbox racing game for sure.
The S class races are not that diff. You just need to give it some time.
For the F40 1lap@Suzuka test, shorten the final drive ratio to the max. This will give you better control over the car.
