Coby is decent brand for portable DVD players. If you have someone coming for the state you could get it 50$ cheaper or so.

Gift360.in seems interesting, has anyone order from here?

I have a 2 screen polaroid portable DVD player in my Bolero. Works well - superb clarity and no disc slips/getting struck kind of problems. take a look at polaroid if you can. Ask me if you need any further details.

I need a portable DVD player for my son. Looking for around 7"in Screen. Any recommendations? Must be widely available. No obscure brands that might be available in one city only. Where do I begin and how much do they cost?

Thanks

(sorry for preaching...but cudn't help it)

My son also does not like TV switched off, but what I think is most important is to indulge them in outdoor activities and get rid of the TV habit.
Same reason why I did not get an entertainment system in the car.

while eating, watching TV is the worst reason for eating disorders.

I agree 100%. I plan to use this for out of station trips. It's main use will come on long highway trips. Otherwise I feel it is better to even talk to your children and create that bond with them.
