Battery Charger & Rechargeable batteries-eneloop-batteries.jpg

They look attractive and are reliable I'll try getting one set directly from Japan next month for sure as parents would be visiting japan in mod-nov.

if they are available in India, I would certainly prefer buying locally.

@Ghpk - Even if they look blant white grab them as quickly as possible.

I've been using them on my S5IS for over 3 months now & the performance is awesome. I only need to charge for 8 hours & I can easily get over 500+ shots (4 of them) WITH FLASH. When it comes to batteries eneloop is THE BEST, not even Duracell.

Try to source from US & you'll get better deals. They're available in India for exhorbidant prices.Mine costed about $42 for 12 batteries & a charger, but that was a steal deal.

As I said earlier, avoid the quick chargers (1-2 hr time) unless you really are pressed for time. I use the charger that came with my Sony camera, it takes about 6 hours for a full charge, and has auto cut-off.

Shyamhedge, great advice, I don't believe the efficiency of eneloop
got the packet delivered by jjmehta 2 hours back and as the pack said ready to use, inserted them in my Battery Eater old Canon, and guess what it was working even better than with those kodak ones.

Images using eneloop were processed faster than kodak batteries.

now will buy a normal charger online, not an expensive one though, please suggest.

Very fast delivery service by JJ Mehta indeed. Congrats.
It changed my percetion too on rechargeable batteries.

Look at the above post by filcord. You should check about the Kodak NiMh charger with your friend, should be good if he gets you nice price.
(You already have one I guess?)
