Downgrade is possible only if you have kept the old OS's SHSH files else no way to downgrade even.

P.S. By the way the jailbreak for 3.13 OS is out but thats only for unlocked devices.

Even if you downgrade the OS, the modem firmware remains the same and thats why you cant unlock it OR there is no unlock available right now. I have been waiting for an unlock to come for about a month now. Just fyi, for those who know delhi, there is no unlock(software) available in gaffar too.

Samsung already announced phone with new Open Service OS named bada. Please check website www.bada.com. SDK is going to be released to public sometimes this month.

First model that is going to be launched is Samsung WAVE with 1 GHz Application processor and Super AMOLED display. They have first shown this device to Mobile World Congressa and they have received tremendous response from all over the world. Check this website Samsung Wave

This would be off late IPhone competitor, with easy to use SDK. Above all Samsung would launch multiple of phone in all ranges Low End, Mid End, High End with bada OS. So there is something for all. Not only for those who can spend $800 for IPhone.

So what to do if you're stuck with a locked phone? Is is possible to run Android on it? This unlocking and jailbreaking is a permanent headache. Everytime Apple upgrades the software we have to wait for months to get the unlock & jailbreak.

I went to gaffar day before and after 10 enquiries 2 of them said it could be unlocked!!! And then comes the price they asked me 3000/-. I said I better keep trying myself. But why would you want to do it? Isnt software the reason why you bought the iPhone at first place?

I too have a bricked iPhone 3GS running on 3.1.3 firmware and non-backed up SHSH. Waiting for someone to throw us helpless people a bone!

I got an HTC HD2 btw. Its awesome. Not as smooth as an iPhone, and has 5 useless buttons at the bottom where iPhone needs only 1 :)

Damn, I am tempeted by this news. I believe its under two year contract. Is there anyway we can get it from US? None of my friends are returning now.

My belief is that if we tell them we are returning to India permanently, ATT unlocks the phone for use in India. Can anyone please be kind enough to guide me on this.

Atlast, I believe time has come for the upgrade of my Nokia 3100, a faithful friend for 6 years !!!
