Careful though it has some catch this time around, so read carefully before you do anything. But no other way out also.

The Catch:Frustrati
There is no unlock for 5.14.02.
The phone i got is running on 3.1.3(Downgraded after it was upgraded to 4.1 and then baseband got changed to 5.14.02).
Now i will have to load 4.2.1 to upgrade the baseband to 06.15 for which an unlock has been released.
Currently downloading 4.2.1 let me see how it goes.
If anyone has tried it,do let me know.

3G unlocked and JB,now running on 4.2.1 and Baseband 06.15.
have disabled multitasking,so that it doesnot freeze upon me.
Still trying it out,before i decide to use it on 4.2.1 or downgrade to IOS3.
Still in a fix,whether to try this on my 3GS or not.

Please DONOT downgrade!! Once the baseband is changed you cant downgrade without having issues!

Just upgraded my 3g on ios 4.2.1 and changed the bb to the ipad bb 6.15.00. Ultrasn0w unlock worked just fine and I am completely satisfied with the performance of the new ios. If not as fast as 3.1.3 it is certainly much faster and stable than 4.1. One thing to remember is not to check multitasking and wallpaper option while using redsn0w for the Jb (this goes for everyone using the 3G phone, if they want at par performace with the ios 3.1.3)

i need help do delete all my contacts on my old iphone 2g as i am selling it off. Kindly help me on how to do it all at once. My phone is jailbroken and unlocked. i am afraid if i reset to factory settings, it might get locked.

I appreciate and the acknowledgment and help provided for getting micro sim for myself. I tried cutting first sim and it went kaput. Pinged jaggu for directions he came up with helping hand. his micro sim cutter is just too good. i took nearly 1 hr to cut the sim with no success.

with jaggu's micro sim cutter it happened in flat 15 mins.

now need to find ways to work with iphone4. first and foremost thing i need to do is update the firmware.

Get the 'ERASE CONTACTS' app from Cydia. That should do the job for you.

Copy the contacts safely from the PC and delete the iPhone sync folder in your pc and sync. OR read the last quote i guess :)

Hello folks! I got an iPhone 4 a couple of days ago as a gift from my girlfriend :). It's the factory unlocked 16GB model. It's currently running on 4.0.2(8A400) and the base band is 01.59.00. Since its a factory unlocked model, I didn't have to jailbreak it to use it. As of now, it's working great with my 3 year old Airtel sim. I have also got GPRS activated on it with the Rs 98/- p.m plan with 2GB data limit. Everything works great as of now.

Just wanted to know if upgrading to 4.2.1 has any uses at this time, or shall I just stay at 4.0.2 and wait for the supposed 4.3 upgrade this month. Anyone here upgraded to 4.2.1 on the iPhone 4? Would love to hear your comments on the experience.
