Its not unlock for latest Basebands. 1.59 baseband is very old which used to come with 4.0.1, 4.0.2 and some off the 4.1 OS models. Now latest baseband is 2.10 and 3.10 which we still can't unlock with this GC5. So have to wait till 4.25 or 4.3 OS is out.

Guys,

Has anyone noticed this??? I updated my iPhone 3GS to iOS 4.2.1 today and the maximum volume in the iPod seems to have gone down! I compared it with another iPhone running on iOS 4.1 and the volume loss at max volume is almost 25% if not more.
Can anyone else confirm???

Check in settings if your auto volume level normalizer is set to on.

I have checked. The normalizer isnt on by default and its set to max volume. The same as my other iPhone 3GS but its on iOS 4.1
I was wondering if its an issue with iOS 4.2.1?? Can any one of your confirm before and after upgrade max volume for your iPhone 3GS.

Outlook or Windows Contacts would be your best option if you need to transfer your contacts offline. Transfer all contacts into Windows Contacts from the old phone. When you set up the new iPhone, select your Windows Contacts as the source for your contacts in iTunes.

If you have wifi or data connectivity on both phones, then do try Funambol to sync your contacts. Check this link for some more help on that: Keep your contacts in sync on different mobile phones using Funambol

Hi, if you don't mind sharing, how did you get a FACTORY UNLOCKED iPhone from USA? I thought they were all tied to ATT (and now Verizon?)

Are you sure its factory unlocked? The US does not legally sell factory unlocked iPhones. At best, you can buy a contract free iPhone which has to be jailbroken anyways for it to work outside the US.

I am using an iPhone4 16GB since about a month now. However, i have been unable to get myself a good data plan. My carrier is Vodafone. Their customer care says:
1) Vodafone Mobile connect (VMC) works on some iPhone 4 handsets but not all. They cannot specify any particular reason for this. VMC is an excellent plan because you get 2GB data for Rs.299 only! I want this plan but Vodafone cannot make sure if it will work on my handset.
2) The Vodafone iPhone data plan is Rs.499 for 250 MB! That is ridiculous.

Anybody using iPhone4 with Vodafone? Which data plan do you use?

@Akki_5,

Get yourself a normal data plan VMC 2GB and on your iphone open on Safari :

Unlockit - APN Changer for your iPhone

Create a profile by choosing your carrier : India Vodafone.

This would make VMC run on your iphone.

Cheers !!

Let me know if you face some issues
