I feel its the opposite. Many of my female friends switch from earlier iPhones to the likes of Note 2 due to the screen size. When I move on to the new iPhone, I am quite sure that I will go for the 6 instead of the 6+. I prefer phones which can be operated with one hand, and also can slip in easily to the pocket.

Yes you can easily mistake it for a Samsung Galaxy Note2 which also sports a 5.5 inch screen
Aparts from the looks, the size and weight is also so similar.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 weighs 180grms and its size is 80.5 x 151.1 x 9.4
Apple iphone 6 Plus weight 172grms and its size is 77.8 x 158.1 x 7.1

Yes, my wife is already eyeing the 6+. She loved the screen of her earlier Note 2, but couldn't get adjusted to the android interface :)

Yes, I feel there will be still a lot of fans for the 5S. Absolutely love everything about the phone.

Guys I think it will be unfair to compare the design of IP6 with Samsung phones. The quality, finish and 'nice to hold' feeling is way better compared to Samsung phones.

I quite liked the design. I recon lets wait and see how it looks in person.

P.S: Every year after launch people seem disappointed with iPhones. But the sale charts say something else. :D

Why? It is being comapred because it feels so. Design has nothing to do with premiumness, build quality, finish etc.

And someone looking to buy an iPhone will buy it.

I am in love with the iPhone 6+ :thumbs up, based on first impressions. I am ready to trade my Note 2 for the beauty.

The worst thing that Samsung has done is not allowing Outlook Sync with Note 2 and most android devices legally through KIES. This one thing breaks the deal for me.

you mean Microsoft Exchange syncing?

What is the battery size in iPhone 6? Is it still 1850mh?

Will the user be happy with such a small battery? iPhone 5 users were always complaining about the battery getting sucked out in 4-5 hours

Yes man. I am not able to sync with my Microsoft Outlook calendar after 4.3 upgrade. It seems Samsung intentionally dropped it. Some say that the companies which have paid apps, have had some play there. Anyways, iPhone 6+ rocks !:D

Though I would prefer iPhone 6 size over iPhone 6+, the battery life of the 6+ is too tempting. So iPhone 6+ it is!

that's weird! i have configured my Microsoft Exchange account on my Note 3 and it works just fine, emails, calendar, the lot. about two weeks back i had got a notification from our Exchange Mobility team that i need to encrypt my phone else i'll lose the ability to connect to my Exchange account from my phone. i went ahead and encrypted the phone.

dunno if that has anything to do with it.

I find the battery of my 5S quite decent. The 6 looks to improve a bit on the 5S, with a talk time of 14hrs over 3G (10hrs for 5S). But the 6+ looks to be a huge improvement on this aspect - 24 hrs over 3G.

Model comparison here

Thanks. But, honestly speaking i always take the times quoted for talk time and standby with a pinch of salt

Real world conditions differ and most iphones (5S) with heavy usage dont last more than 6-7 hours ( I dont use it but, know many who do and they always complain about the battery

I also hear them say 4 was better in terms of battery consumption

Was just trying to say that why didnt Apple pack in a 3000mh sized one to tackle this problem once for all

Oh yes, I mentioned the quoted figures just for comparison sake. And yes, the 5S max out in 6-7 hours with heavy usage, but from my experience its the same with most of the phones (my wife's old Note 2 was a bit better). Apple should have updated the battery also along with newer generation models.

Probably the 4 was better on battery consumption because the applications at that time maybe less heavy. Despite being on full time 4G, I did not find a huge difference in the charging cycle between 5S and 4/4S. Maybe its because of the habit of keeping a charger each at home and office :D

Guys any ideas on pricing for India. I see the unlocked version is going to be around 40k in the US. So by past pricing does anyone have an idea on what could be the India price?

If it's more than 50k, which it most likely will, I think I will be going off the ape platform and back to android.

some funny stuff

I was checking out the german webiste for the unlocked phone prices. generally Indian iphone prices are close to that. So going by the same logic, I have listed the expected prices

ip6 16GB 699euros (~56K)
ip6 64GB 799euros (~64K)
ip6 128GB 899euros (~72K)
ip6+ 16GB 799euros (~64K)
ip6+ 64GB 899euros (~72K)
ip6+ 128GB 999euros (~80K)

This is in a true meaning "Killer Prices" :D
