re: Bluetooth Headphones and Earpods

Has anybody used Realme Buds Air? Wanted to know how are they for calls? Couldn't find decent reviews which talk about call quality on the web.

The eternal question: Neckband vs True Wireless (airpod clones) vs over ear headphones?

Our SmartPro dude put out the perspectives. I listened from 10:30 onwards for the calling piece.

Re: The Headphones Thread

Hi, I'm planning to pick up these. This is the 'limited edition Soapstone' version. How are these performing? The Sony WH-1000XM3 are great performers and I have my heart set on them, but the Bose 700 took everything I threw at it with ease.

Any feedback on the Galaxy buds plus? I had the original ones and they were very comfortable and also good enough for decent music. But call audio quality was simply lousy. Heard the newer version is much better.

Any other true wireless buds recommendations for call quality + decent music? I also have a Bose 700 for music so that wouldn't be as important.

I have the Sony WH-1000XM3. The only drawback in them is the lack of multipoint Bluetooth pairing. I had bought them for 18k during the festive sale from a local store.

In general, finding a bluetooth advertising/having Multipoint is so difficult to find. I was in market for a multipoint neckbank bluetooth and had a hard time as there was no proper information and my requirement was not to have "In ear" design. Finally settled with the Samsung Level U which work great for me and have multipoint.

The performance has been good so far, few issues with switching between paired devices are there. But the issue is not a persistent one, it works like a charm if done correctly.

Not a bass-heavy headphones, a neutral sound signature compared to the Sony. Battery life, I'm getting a little over 20 hrs, and with the charging case(2-3 top-ups), for my usage, it lasts over two weeks.

From all the reviews shared only the Sony Mark 3s remain the undisputed king.
If you already own the same i doubt you will find a marked difference with the Bose's proposition however it my satiate that itch for newness

I liked the sound quality of the original buds (which I owned till recently) better. The new one is not a worthy replacement. The call quality also continues to be weak. I wouldn't have got them if not for the 999 offer with my S20 Ultra.

I have Jabra Elite 75T and Sennheiser Momentum TW2. Of the two, if the cost is not a concern, then the latter has awesome performance. The Jabra is a jack of all and you cannot go wrong with them.

The Momentum will beat the 75T at the sound quality any day but there is a huge price difference between the two.

Ever since I got the TW2, I do not use the Jabra anymore.

re: Bluetooth Headphones and Earpods

Does anyone have any options for sourcing Plantronics Voyager 5200 Bluetooth headset? (@Mumbai / online)

It's been sold out on Amazon / Flipkart for ages and can't seem to find any other options with a normal price (see some quotes at ~30k inr).

Which one will be better?
One plus buds or Realme Buds air?
Any other recommendations in 5k range?

re: Bluetooth Headphones and Earpods

I am waiting for the Sony WF-1000xm3 TW earphones to be released in a few days. I have the Sony WH-1000XM3 and have begun to prefer them over my Bose QC 35 and Sennheiser PXC 550. The Sony is way more comfortable to wear than the other two headphones + it is more customisable. Sound quality? Sennheiser PXC 550 -->Bose QC 35--->Sony WH1000 XM3-->Sennheiser 4.40 BT (at a fraction of the price), in order of preference but then I am splitting hairs here.

The first 3 are very good BT headphones while the 4.40 BT is good if you like enhanced bass response at a moderate price. The biggest advantage with the Sony is they support the high bitrate LDAC codec which works very well with most android phones, sadly Apple only supports AAC. Call quality? All are so so and nothing beats a purpose built BT headset like the Plantronics Voyager. Don't get these for calls on on the move.

NC is the best on the Sony, hands down, actually it is superb. Next is the Bose and then the Sennheiser PXC 550 which throws up a fairly good performance.

I auditioned the 1st generation Momentum TW and they were very good. Sennheiser reps told me they share the drivers with the IE80 in ear phones. It's going to be a close race between the Sony and the Sennheiser TW earphones.

re: Bluetooth Headphones and Earpods

Hey everyone!

So I'm using a Phillips SHL3300BK which is a really good pair of headphones. Has a very nice balanced sound output and i really love it. 4.5 years and still chugging

Unfortunately my job requires me to work for around 15 to 16 hours thanks to the workload and the Phillips become painful after 4-5 hours. Especially the ear lobes since it's an on-ear headphone. End up using the regular earphones which don't have very good sound quality but it's honestly all I need. But then that itch is there to get something good.

Looking for a reliable pair of headphones/ earphones which are primarily comfortable and have good sound quality to listen to music while slogging it out, easy connection to multiple devices ( mobile phone and 2 laptops) and battery life to get through 16 hours.

I have to focus on BT headphones as most of the premium wired headphones don't have a mic.

I'd like to limit the budget to 10k max and not more. Is it a reasonable request or am I asking for the world?

re: Bluetooth Headphones and Earpods

I just ordered the Bose Quitecomfort 35 ii headphones on Amazon. For a 3 year old model, they seem to be rated one of the most comfortable ones for spectacle users.

Care of covid, I had to order one based purely on the reviews. Have to see how it will fare.
