re: Bluetooth Headphones and Earpods

it's a steal, no doubt. Have you read the comments below for both Sony 1000 and Bose QC 35? Most say 'its not sounding the way they did in the showroom'. Which makes me to think, 'these could be rip offs'. Else how can they be 10K cheaper? What's your thoughts on this

Possible but once you get the package, you should be able to verify the part number online isn't it?

And the discount is only on QC. The latest top of the shelf model from Bose, the 700, has no discounts.

Also the latest model from Sony, the MX3 is available at quite a discounted price and nearby the price of QC.

So all in all it looks genuine. And validity can be verified once the bill is received.

Well it is being sold by Appario retail which is Amazon entity. Also this price is Amazon primeday offer. Rest of the days it seems to be going at full price only. I hope it is original. Never doubted that there maybe fakes

There seems to be some Videos of unboxing. I will do a video of mine as well just in case.

Don't go by subjective thoughts on Amazon, headphones like all audio equipment are a very personal choice and the equalisation on showroom models is set to make the 'phones sound bright and punchy. It applies to TVs too. Hence the difference between the showroom and home auditions. Purchases from Cloudtail and other online market dealers like Appario are genuine. Don't worry.

The XM3 model headphones have been going on discount on and off since early 2020. I got my headphones for 20K at a Sony showroom back in Feb. All this has been due to the impending release of the Sony WH1000-XM4 model which incidentaly was launched yesterday and is expected to be launched in India next month.

Incidentally the WF-1000 XM3 true wireless set has also been launched. I'm interested in those although I'd prefer the Sennheiser TW2 for the sound quality. But the Sennheisers are 5K more.

I had bought Realme buds last month. Will not recommend them to anyone. The buds have some serious issues:
- the battery life is limited, doesn’t lasts for more than an hour of calls
- connections with the laptops, specially MacBooks is unstable. It frequently disconnects during the calls.

I even raised requests with Realme for replacements, but those were rejected citing that there is no problem in the buds I have got.

Does Galaxy buds handle simultaneous connection to laptop and mobile ? Like when a call comes in my mobile , will it automatically switch to mobile ? Or is there any buds that can do it ?

What you are asking for is "Multi point" and this is one of my main criteria when buying Bluetooth earphone or so. I searched on google and it seems Galaxy Buds do not support multipoint.
I am not much into TWS earbuds but I like neckband design more. I recently got the Samsung Level U for about Rs. 2600 to use with my office laptop and I find it good. Mind, you it has less than stellar reviews on amazon but it suffices my needs and also, I never bought it for music. I wanted to be able to connect both my laptop and tablet simultaneously and it does the job fine.

I think many of the LG Neckband style earphones too support (I have HBS A100) but I guess availability in India is less.

Check oneplus bullets wireless z or oppo enco m31. Both have multipoint connections. Youtube has good videos on this feature.

Both are neckband type headphones. You need to dig around if any of the buds (TWS) have this feature.

I went and checked both and the one plus says "quick switch" but that does not seem like a simultaneous connection to 2 devices. The Oppo one I didn't find any mention of multipoint anywhere.

Thanks for the 'multipoint' keyword. I did a research using that keyword.

Apparently very few earbuds support this feature, but most neckband type ones support this. Only earbuds that supports it are Jabra 65t and 75t costing 7k and 14k in Amazon respecitvely. The first one is well within my budget, but it does not have USB C. Looks like I will have to settle for a neck band type earphone or increase my budget for the 75t.

Even with neckband types, don't just assume they will support multi point. Check reviews, ask questions on amazon or go to specific brand's subreddit and ask there.

re: Bluetooth Headphones and Earpods

My Brief review of the Huawei AM61 Bluetooth Sport Headphones:

I got these free with the Huawei Watch GT2e that I purchased a few months back and I have been using these on a daily basis.

Pros:
  • Decent Battery Life - works for about 5-6 Hours
  • Comfort is good and fits the ear comfortably and is light weight
  • Soundstage is good and the effects can be felt as coming from various positions.
  • Good for voice, dialogue based content and good for Phone calls, Business Meetings etc.
  • Works extremely well with Laptops (tried with HP, Dell) and Work Conferencing tools such as Skype for Business and Microsoft Teams

Cons:
  • Bass is very weak - not so good for folks who like punchy music
  • Micro USB Connector provided when most provide Type C in 2020

A Short Video Review with Unboxing of the same:

Jabra Elite 65T are selling with a 61% discount on headphonezone, ₹5999 after discounts. Looks like an excellent deal for those looking for TWS earbuds in 4-5k range and for those going for the OnePlus buds and the likes.

Bose Quite Comfort 35ii delivered by Appario Retail are original. Bose connect app picked them immediately. They are very recent batch too. I need to test the AR features on the headset.

Software upgrade is available but I am not going to update for now. There seems to negative feedback on the upgrade.

That's right. Picked up a pair myself. I have done the software upgrade today, but not sure about the negative comment on that aspect. What should I look out for? It seems to be working fine, for now
