Will a GPS PND bought from abroad work in India?

I would prefer dealextreme any day with its ultra cheap devices and zero shipping cost

Thanks for correcting. You are right, It's Destinator. I mixed it up because my device already had Miomap pre-installed.

If you prefer expedited shipping, some 13-15USD extra will do the trick. Got my Holux M1000C and 7" Touchscreen/GPS/BT/Wince 5 stuff within a week.

Soon i will have another demo of ZX150 at my place from a professional, may be it will make a mark on me, but the garmin devices in the market looks promising

Thanks Indie, My unit is unlocked and is able to access the map. Am only trying to get some maps loaded and update the results.

Btw which map are the teams using who buy the PNDs out of country?

20 north looks good. but is it a safe website? any guys here with experiences with this site?

I have ordered through airmail. I have received the order and it is lying with Bombay customs. Now are they are asking documents [ Invoice and ID proofs ] to claim the goods.

I stay in hyderabad, can we go to local customs office to submit the documents

Fax them the copies if they want you to go to Mumbai to collect it, Pathetic India post

I got 2 PNDs to Bangalore without any trouble.
