I think its because of the dual MMC or something like that.
I though it was possible in 6670 and 7610.
These phones only come with a 64MB MMC and a 1GB has not been made for them.
So guys any suggestions?
Hey hotrod, you maybe able to get a 3200 or a T610 used from heera panna.
Go and try.
Is a 1GB possible in a 7710?

6670 and 7610 have normal rsmmc
6630 and 6680 will have dual voltage rsmmc which are still stuck on 256mb maxxx.
1gb is possible on 7710 and even 2gb now not sure if theyre in the country yet but they are out now

Don't. Though it will surely work, India is the best place to buy mobile phone(IMO). I have checked prices of latest cell phones wherever I go.. US,UK,Finland,Japan....But when compared to India they are quite expensive.I had bought an unlocked imate PPC(aka xdaII) last yr in US for $790.After few months, it was available in India for little less and with warranty. So buy one when you move here.
thinking of buying the new O2 mini today. really like for its size. compact but has all the features of a pda and more...!!!

Yes, but I think you must have bought with 1 or 2 yr contract with O2 or some other network. When I checked a O2 without a plan in UK, the prices were too high.
I guess its 6670 unless i can get a 1 GB with the 6630.
Hey Iceman,
O2 mini isnt the best PDA phone.
trust me.
The phone book is pretty wierd and its a pretty wierd phone.
At least thats what i have experienced.
lambo, IMO 6630 sucks too. Nothing else, but its size and shape gives me gingerbells. The only thing it has going for it compared to 6670 is stereo output, which means on 6670 u'd not enjoy your MP3s at all. So only if u r ok and comfortable with size and weight and shape, go for 6630. Till then, Check out SE S700i (i hope that's what it's called, basically the 1MP phone by SE)
Jesal,
What must be the prevailing prices for XDA 2 now? Both..here as well as UK

prices there are about 20k to 25k and over here around 25k to 30k. its all on where u find from.
cause i can get the phones cheaper over here, unlocked as well. How soon does india get the latest phones...im either looking at Samsung or Motorola...thinking about buying either one here and bringing to india, unless i can get teh same ones in india for cheaper. Samsung, prolly one of the X series in flip and Motorola, prolly the V600...or somethin similar.
Yep aadix don't buy 6800/6820. Two friends bought it and are still cursing the alignment of stars on the days of their purchase. it's bulky, and the keyboard is a waste unless you spend three hours a day typing emails on your phone. 6100 on the other hand is light as a feather, the only things you'll miss are a radio, and perhaps, a camera.
hey greenhorn
i bought the 6820 used it and sold it off too! liked the phone except for the screen
currently back to my 6100 really good phone! dont miss the radio coz they arent any stations in hyd,but do miss a camera
my next fone if i buy in the near future is gonna be the motorola v3 razr just for it's bling value!
