Guys,

Urgent help by tomorrow evening please - BB 8320 for 12.5k or E63 for 11k?

My usage would be simple: wifi
Composing texts should be super easy with documents and emails and ease of browsing forums.
Want to have something which can easily open ppts/pdfs well (my bread/butter)

Also with home/office having wifi - would want to use a phone which can seamlessly switch between GPRS and wifi!

Advise folks?

PS: Ditched 8310 since wifi usage >>>> gps usage (buying holux m1000b separately)

Why not the BB 8520, Has WiFi, Document support all (PDF , PPT), nice track pad, a fast processor, very light slips well into your pocket. Should get it less than 15 K. Both the phones you have mentioned are at the end of the product life this is fresh off the ovens.

How good are Asus & HTC phones? some how life the window OS

Any inputs on Asus P527?
I would recommend asus as their service support is good, atleast in mumbai compared to htc.
asus p552w is good if you can let go the keypad for 16k.
asus p750 is better than p527.
It is recommended to buy win mobile with atleast 400mhz cpu and 128 mb ram for good response.

Bought the E63 for 10.9k from a trusted guy. It would've been maybe a bit cheaper in karolbagh but other random considerations ruled otherwise!

I'm loving it!

Is there any support for reading pdf files in it? its the only thing i need to fix up my mind to buy it.

P750 was for about 17k a year back. you will have to check about its availability in market.

I bought a Nokia 5800XM , after much deliberation about which mobile phone to buy. In a toss up between the E71 and the 5800, I found the 5800 to be absolute VFM. Most of the features too were better than the E71, especially the camera quality and the music features. Video playback is very very good with 30fps. Video recording too is at 30fps.

Though I bought this phone primarily to surf the internet, I am touch disappointed with the touch screen, which isn't as responsive as my erstwhile iPod Touch 1G. Also, the 5800's build quality just can't match the solidity of the E71. The cost at a priority dealer in Pune came up to 14750, a good 4K lesses than the E71. A sweetener also came in the form of a free download of 100 songs from the Nokia Ovi store.

Pluses: Gorgeous looking screen, terrific value.

Minuses: Not-so-smooth touch interface, flimsy build.

Cheers,

Jay

I have been using this phone for the past 6 months or so.
Love it.

BUT. its not very good at holding onto the network
I like to read, while lying on my bed.

Full network if I hold the phone in my left hand.
NO network in the right hand.
and I am not that wide.

Looses the network inside large buildings.

Please check network coverage before buying this phone.
Its not a big deal for me. (Prepaid usage is about 100 bucks a months).
