Flipkart today, leave me disappointed with them. They called me just now to tell me that they weren't able to source a while Micromax A110 phone, from 13th Dec [when I placed my order] and that they'll have to cancel my order.

It does annoy me but what I cannot understand is when they weren't able to get a single supplier to guarantee stock of this product, why did their webpage for the same product list it as 'In Stock' yesterday [around afternoon]. I reported it here and so did another Bhpian. That's unacceptable..

Sad. Now I will surely think hard before placing orders for higher priced products with them, or maybe even not..

Keep this in mind when you order fast moving products from them [and I'm not the first customer to whom this has happened, read the white phone's reviews page].

I request you to try Saholic.com Quite a few of my friends have bought mobile phones from them and have been fairly satisfied. They have the A110 in stock most of the time

Micromax A110 is out of stock at most e-commerce sites.

k_ajay,
I happen to visit a site where in they have White A110 in Stock for 9650/-

Please do cross check about the store rating and order. If you want black A110 then its available at Croma Store for 9499/-

Do Check out Univercell Outlet in you locality

There appears to be a huge demand for MM A110. Most biggies are still pricing equivalent models at 2x, implying that they don't think MM can inflict much damage to them.

How to get your gmail contacts on your phone when you switch from Android to another platform.. for eg IOS or Symbian?

Go to the mail client in your phone with exchange server support, set up the google account you want to sync your contacts with, once done it will ask what to sync select contacts (mail sync would be enabled by default). Once you have all the contacts in your phone you can back it up in your phone's pc/mac software and delete the exchange server account in your phone you just set up if you may wish.

I made a jump from Android to Symbian belle and was having some trouble shifting the contacts on to symbian. Tried exporting the contacts list from google but it was too much work. Used the above method and all contacts are now set up in my phone along with the contact's pic as i had them in my gmail/android. No editing required at all.

I was thinking twice about ordering from Saholic, because they didn't have COD. And haven't tried Saholic earlier. Are they reliable? Exactly when I was contemplating buying from there, is the time I saw white colour come up as in-stock on FK [which wasn't true].

That's true, A110 is out everywhere. Black is available at few places [Chroma, for ex], but white is totally out of stock.

I read somewhere else [some forum] that Virtualplaza isn't reliable or that someone who purchased from there, did not have their phone delivered. Don't want to go down that road. I'm still trying with a brick and mortar store i know in Indiranagar [Pai].

Finally, i got a white Micromax A110 today.

Thanks Gurudatta. The A110 is well worth its price. The camera is good when lighting conditions are good. Flip covers like for Samsung galaxy phones are widely available, check Ebay.in. I'll be buying one from a mobile accessories shop I purchase from, in Total Mall, Old airport road [Blr].

As a user of the A110 for 2 days, I can only recommend the phone. It is superb value for money, at 10K. Everything in the phone is good and provides for good experience. The loud speaker, as said in umpteen reviews, is not very loud but it is pretty clear at its highest volume. Good luck finding this phone though, if you consider it. Its sold out almost everywhere.

ebay.in. Lots of flip covers for Micromax A110. Big mobile accessories stores [typically in malls and smaller mobile retail shops] will have them too.

One of my regular cell phone dealer (friend) in Navi Mumbai has the stock, i have personally checked the stock with him, it was a December manufactured piece. He is selling it at a premium for Rs 10800/- and still they are selling like hot cakes according to him, but for me it is Rs 10200/- whenever i want to buy. He has assured whenever i want to buy he can arrange a piece for me as soon as possible. I have been buying cell from him since 2003 and he is trustworthy:thumbs up.

Came across two reviews in flipkart which states "Memory capacities changed.Internal memory changed from 500MB to 1.48 GB,Internal SD card capacity changed from 2.05GB to 1GB"

Can you confirm the same ?

Oh, you are lucky then, to be able to get a piece when you want.

Yes, a stock ROM upgrade to V2 has been effected on the phone, from the factory [for the fresh pieces]. Internal storage [where apps save, default] is now 1.48GB [from 0.5GB] and internal SD card is now 1.05GB [reduced from 2.05GB].

Get that phone soon. :)

Thanks @ K_ajay

Any idea, will this phone be upgraded to Jelly Beans in near future ?
I did some Google search unable to find concrete answers

No, I didn't find anything via google either, for possible upgrades to Jelly Bean. Nothing concrete on Micromax website either. Maybe I'll shoot an email to them tonight and see what they confirm.

I was surprised to find that there is no option to even register your phone on Micromax website. But I did get an sms from Micromax as soon as the phone detected my airtel SIM and registered via that; also got a registration confirmation via SMS from Micromax. :thumbs up

But check these:

Here's one good cover. Unfortunately can't find anything similar for my phone, A100.

Yes and she is very happy with it too because it has a physical keyboard as well as the touch keyboard. Good buy overall we think.

Shankar/Others,
A friend is trying to decide between Asha 311 & 303. Any feedback on how these phones are, or any Asha (series) phone. Please do provide your inputs.
