That is NOT flipkart. It is WS Retail, a reseller there. Minor but major difference sirjee.

I think everything on flipkart is being sold by WS retail only. Or perhaps some other retailer ...

Flipkart used to own WS Retail until recently,

oh okay - I last ordered from them 45 days back. Back then this wasnt the case. Now I see everything is operated by WS retail! But what is interesting is that it now lists other sellers as well! :)

For customers, Flipkart ans WS Retail are synonymous. Flipkart just had to hive it off due to FDI issues (it could not sell directly to customers if it wanted VC money beyond certain %age).

I want to buy a low cost Android phone for wifey and finalised on Micromax A89. I know that battery backup is an issue, the headphones are not good & customer care is hopeless.

Apart from these, is there any other issue with A89 ? Anybody having bad experience with Micromax phones ?

Any other android phone better than A89 within 7k ?

oh yeah, i realized that. I missed that bit - thought it to be just another retailer (there are multiple retailers for each item, many often cheaper than WSR!)

why not go in for http://www.xolo.in/q700 - 2700 bucks never pinched anyone that much, esp when "investing" for wife!

When the 720 was announced at MWC , it looked absolutely tempting ! The unibody design , slimmest WP at that point , good optics. Then the reviews came , and they were in general good. Now when I decided to go for the phone in next week , the news about Nexus 4 launch bombed ! Now i'm confused ! I was so excited when Nexus 4 was launched last year ! At that price point it was unbeatable ! Sadly though there was no word on India launch and price point. Now it's here , pre-order at 26 K, almost same price to that of GS3, is it worth ?
To me the selling point is the design and material, plus the stock android ! Proper updates is what i'll get.
I decided for the 720 , as it isn't too expensive, has got good optics, bundled with premium Nokia apps, good design, great battery ! But above all, I'm bored to see all the androids around ! But the major concern is, how future proof is 720 ?
The hardware of Nexus 4 is future proof ! I'll get regular updates, plus its a no nonsense good looking phone !

Guys i'm totally confused ! Please help

@ fz_rider - I haven't seen Windows updating their devices as much as Google has and with Nexus coming with Warranty, the decision swings in favour of N4 anyday.

I already have a N7 , so i'm not worried about the apps ! The novelty of WP UI is what's attracting me !
On one hand there is this solid hardware package of N4 , on the other hand there is this fresh looking UI, good camera capabilities of L720 !
I'm worried about the camera quality of N4 !

Any inputs

NEXUS 4 fans would know about the new design of the phone which lifts the phone slightly from the surface. Link
I called flipkart to check if they are shipping the new design but they didnt knew about it.

Can anyone else confirm this?

There is no difference in the Model No. or packaging that you can check to make sure it is the new one, without opening the package.

The best you can try is that (if you are buying at a brick-and-mortar store), check the manufacturing date. If it is in the last month or so, it would most probably be the newer one.

The WP7 is a no nonsense format which removes ambiguity with the other OS's. Android is way too common, and exactly the reason why I shifted from an Ace to 520. its a good, secure and quick running OS with all the required apps, a great productivity suite and Nokia Maps.

Guys,I am planning to get a second phone for myself (I have a galaxy 3 and I am happy with it). I will be using new phone only for making calls and not for anything else,so I am planning to get a basic phone(branded one) from website like Deal Extreme. But one of my friend told me that I will face lot of issues if I try to import mobile phone from such websites. Please help me out!
