I have a query regarding CDMA handsets.
I will be upgrading my handset in near future.
Earlier I had thought going GSM but after looking at rental rates vs Reliance, it seems that Airtel/hutch etc., dont hold a candle, esp in roaming space, which is very important for me
So coming back to the query I went to some shops in malls to check out models. I found that for reliance if I want samsung etc., I have to go to reliance webworld as only they stock these handsets which come with number prefed into the mobile.
However they can sell me a Nokia blank CDMA set like 6265. Then I would need to purchase a handset change card for rs 25 by which I can transfer my number to this handset.
This brings an interesting possibility. Is it possible to get any blank CDMA set and use this handset change card. This way I can scout for better models at cheaper price.
Earlier reliance permitted use of handsets brought through them only. But now I guess with these blank nokia handsets I can purchase from elsewhere.
Can anyone elaborate on this?
Can someone tell me who are the Motorola Mobile phone dealers in South or SouthWest Delhi ? Every dealer seems to be hooked on to Nokia or SE. lol
I want a MOTOFONE F3 as a replacement phone. And nobody seems to have it. Can anyone help me out here.. ??
@ lurker you can try Satnam Electronics in GK-i M Block Market. He has a wide variety of brands and models

1) How is it different from normal N73?
2) Whats the price?
3) Most of the advantages are known. Any disadvantage?
4) Did you consider N70 Music Edition? |
msdivy,
1- Difference is 2gb micro sd, 3d ringtones application and a black color.
2- I got it for 23900 with B/W.
3- I havent find any.
4- I havent consider N70ME because N70 is older version with 2MP camera.i was looking for the 3.2MP camera.
Cheers,

Tanveer, pls check coverage too before you switch from GSM. While coverage by Reliance etc in the urban areas is good, the same may not be the case in non-urban areas. This is what I have come across.
Btw, Can I change my vote? Moved to a Sony Ericcson k750i. Love the clarity of the 2mp pics. Dont anymore have to worry about not having something to shoot with ! And the camera has been helping me out ..
Thanks steeroid and devarshi84 regarding the band clarification.
I am still confused about which phone to buy !!!

I havent used GSM for past 2 years and am on reliance. I have found coverage excellent, even in remote parts of HP and roaming is very very cheap(Incoming, outgoing re 1).
I was thinking of switching to GSM, but high rates(esp roaming) deter me. So I will stick to reliance. I just wanted to know which blank CDMA sets work with reliance.
A question to the mobile gurus here:
Which mobile phone has the longest lasting batteries and can be on standby for even a month !
Did a small research and found out that the Panasonic MX and SA series had the longest lasting mobile batteries. But Panasonic mobile phones are no longer in production.
So which mobile phone in production would take that mantle ??
I have a Palmone Treo. Got an unlocked version from US and works fine here.
Hi Everyone,
I use Sony Ericsson K790i - The Best Camera Phone ever made by any mobile phone company (3.2 MP Camera & Excellent Sony Cybershot features).
Nokia N series phones do not stand any closer to this TFT Screen Phone. Its a must buy and worth the cost for a mobile phone user.

the only better about the k790 to the n73 is the xenon flash. otherwise the n73 is better in everyway. and it also has symbian series 60.

Reliance will soon switch over to GSM, whether you do the switch or not! It will either happen really fast if they get to take over Hutch in what will be an interesting takeover battle with Vodafone, Verizon and Maxis involved; or it will happen gradually as they shift existing subscribers slowly over to GSM.
Anyone here has a review of the nokia E-50. Am planning to upgrade from my 6230i to this.
Since the 6230i is a S40 phone and the E50 a symbian S60 wanted to know if it will be slower?
I know that s60 is a slower but not on the E50.
I just got tempted even more after they launched this:
